A Step Towards Yes: An Interview with Tommy Campbell (part 1)
Let me introduce you to my in real-life friend Tommy Campbell.
It was so much fun to have him come over and do this podcast. We laughed so hard I could hardly record and almost fell off my stool a few times.
You know it’s going to be good when it’s a two-part interview.
I met Tommy when I was a wee little freshman in college (well I wasn’t little but it felt like a fun way to start a sentence)
He taught a Disciple now Retreat weekend and God used him in a powerful way in my life.
And I believe God is going to use Him in a powerful way in your life as you listen to this interview.
Have you ever sensed God calling you to let go of what you are doing now? To be obedient and simply say yes without knowing what’s next?
Tommy shares about a significant time in Him life when God told Him to lay down what He had been doing but did not tell him what He would be doing next.
I love the wisdom He shares with us because as He points out we often want the next if God is calling us to do something now.
Sometimes once we have said yes, we either want to rush ahead or we are behind.
If you are a follower of Jesus and you have put yourself in His grip. To me, It’s common sense if God is leading you towards something He is calling you to do and to be you have to be obedient to that. Be patient in that. Don’t jump ahead and skip the process. Don’t stay behind the process. Be patient and abide in Christ. He will clarify in His timing.
