Are you a Saint? An Interview with Addison Bevere

Meet my new friend Addison Bevere.  He serves as COO of Messengers International and has written a phenomenal book called Saints: Becoming More Than Christians.

I have to be honest with you. When I hear the word Saint I think about old dead people who you find in stained glass windows at churches.  Or a graveyard in Europe full of St. so and so.

But after chatting with Addison and reading His book I am reminded:  I AM A SAINT.

(Would someone please tell those around me that!)

No, I am not painted on a stained glass window or buried in a graveyard in Europe somewhere (I think you kind of figured that out!)

but I am a saint.

Many of the New Testament letters start out, ” To the Saints.”  That’s me. That’s you if you are a believer in Jesus Christ.  And living in the knowledge of this changes everything.

It’s accepting the divine invitation to be who God created us to be.

In the book and in our conversations Addison points out how we find ourselves searching for the “good life.”  This good life and the good things we are looking for to fulfill us in our good life just do not seem to satisfy.

The good life is not something you find, it’s someone you become.

Addison Bevere

When we live out our title of saint, we discover who God designed us to be and awaken to the life that we were meant to know.

I cannot wait for you to lean in and listen and discover– if you are in Christ, you are a saint.
