Overcoming Anxiety: An interview with Craig Denison

I think this interview with Craig Denison could not have been more well-timed (isn’t it amazing how God does that).

I loved Craig’s gentle spirit and felt like I was sitting across from a friend.

He shares how once the pandemic started last year, He started struggling with panic attacks.

I imagine many of you can relate.  Maybe you have not experienced physical panic attacks– but relate to the overwhelm the anxiety. It feels at times like fear is floating through the air we breathe, especially as you watch the world news these days.

I cannot wait for you to listen to this episode if you are struggling with fear in any way.  Craig shares how therapy, learning about the chemistry of his body and brain, and practicing spiritual disciplines helped walk him through this difficult time.

He shares the importance of God’s presence during his struggles.  Learning to give over the things to God that are causing stress and anxiety.

He also stresses the importance of professional help.

It is my prayer as you listen to Craig share about his journey you will feel less alone in the middle of your own struggle with anxiety.

He asked two great questions that I encourage you to ask yourself.

  1. What am I feeling in my body
  2. What am I feeling in my emotions?

If you find this episode encouraging, I would love for you to share it with a friend.  After you both listen, you should grab coffee together, go on a walk, or just chat at your favorite park and let me know how you have been encouraged. You can comment, e-mail [email protected] or find me on social media.  I would love to connect with you and hear your story.
