The Red-Haired Archeologist: An Interview with Amanda Hope Haley

I feel so cool that I have a friend who is an archeologist.  I mean.. how fun is that?

In case I have not mentioned it a bazillion times on here, my favorite trips in the world are to Israel.

I agree with Amanda that once you have visited Jerusalem there is no place that ever quite feels that measure of home again.

I never thought I would say that but it is true.  I cannot describe what it was like to see Jerusalem for the very first time.

Amanda’s new book The Red-Haired Archeologist is such a fascinating read. It’s got humor, history and makes you feel like a tourist in Israel all in one.

I loved having this conversation with her about what it is really like to be an archeologist and what God taught her as she dug and found simple things from mundane parts of life.

What a reminder that God meets us on our mundane Mondays.

I cannot wait for you to hear from my friend Amanda.
