Made to order clothes and liver :-)

hello to my favorite people who take the time to read what’s going on. I find it such an outlet to write about what’s going on in my life.. so i appreciate so much you taking the time to read this! By the way– using the code language is to much trouble becuz some people do and some dont’.. some i’m going with don’t. I just want to be able to talk about jesus.. so i’m gonna.. and trust that will be ok. Just don’t use the “m” word!

ok.. so you may be wondering about the title. Well.. today was a great day for me. See my suitcase that was missing came yesterday, complete with the giant stuffed lion that I had vacumn packed (sorry he’s my buddy.. i just had to) but someone had decided to steal all my shirts… so it was a great exscuse to buy a whole new wardrobe. So apparently many times it is of benefit to wear western clothes here, sometimes the native south asian wear. So guess what I got to do today. Go to a tailor who had tons and tons of fabric.. look at a j-crew/other american clothes catolog.. pick out shirts and fabric and they are going to be made to fit me.. made to order. Now that’s a way more fun way to clothes shop! Being a m defionatly has its perks. I cannot wait to see what they look like when i get them in 2 weeks.

The road to go get clothes is amazing. No road really and mud, trash, and flooding water to wade through. It makes me feel like a real Messenger of the lord.. heheh.. it also made me wish that my blue jeans that i bought from wal-mart had been hemmed! After getting clothes made I went to a Newari restraunt. It looked VERY scary from the outside and even scarier from the inside. Guess what we ate. Goat liver.. yummy. It actually wasn’t to bad. Goat liver and beaten rice and soy beans.. whose hungry! 🙂

I am learning huge things here. I am grateful that God brought me here alone because I am learning to rely on God and his power and strength in a way that I never would have. He is all I have to rely on.. he has become even more of my best friend.. as at times he’s the only one that can understand me.. because I know God speaks English to… not just nepalee… heheheh…

God already has provided me with who i think will be my nepalee best friend. She is a believer and she helps clean upstairs at our apartment. She is my age and we have had a great time together. Just thinking about her makes me smile. She doesn’t speak english and i don’t speak nepalee.. but we’re getting along.. the love of Jesus passes all boundaries. Please pray that I will get oppertunities to disciple her.

next week will be very busy as I have been invited already to have dinner in nepalee’s homes 3 different times. These are the homes of non believers.. so i am very excited to get to go and shine.

ok.. this is turning into the longest entry ever. Can I encourage you today.. that we serve a God of great love.. so let him love on you today.

  2. Every time I think you are suffering for Jesus, I hear about something that makes me not feel so sorry for you. made to order clothes huh:) You are going to be way more in style than me(although thanks to you I do have a brand new sylish wardrobe). I guess the liver makes up the suffering aspect though:). I am so so so proud of you. Wow. And it was incredible to talk to you. I have been praying praying for you. Just know you have a best friend and sis on my knees for you every morning. This morning I was really tired, and so craving some of your coffee. My coffee maker just doesn’t make the same as your french press:) Have a wonderful day.
    love ya

  3. Hi Jenn,

When I prayed that God would meet your needs above and beyond anything you could ask for or anything you could think of, I never imagined that would include made-to-order clothes. He’s just full of surprises!

I’m praying for you every morning as well as every time you come to my mind (which is quite often.)

    Keep shining for Him.

    Love,
    Sandra Rose

  4. Jenn, you are so contagiously inspiring and funny. God does love us like we are royalty, so I guess this is way of showing you. You are not maid-to-order, but yet made-to-order. God is so awesome how he takes the smallest thing and works them in such a large way. I would love to give you a hug, so here is a cyber-hug (((hugs))). I will remember you when you go to the dinners!!

    Love Ya,
    Leanne
