Day four in south asia

WOW– i cannot believe that i have been here for four days. I just want to say again that I appreciate so much those of you who are reading this and keeping up with what is going on.. and i really really appreciate the way that you guys are lifting me up.. I really feel it like a blanket over my heart! (a good blanket.. the kind that you want on a cold winter day with a cup of coffee.. by the way– Daddy that french press is the best thing you have ever given me… every morning I’ve had a date with Je-sus and a french press cup of coffee and i feel like I am getting a big ol’ hug from you!)

ok.. I realize that I could type an entry that would take like 3 days for you to read. I have no idea where to start. One thing I must add just to be funny.. you know you are in south asia when: 1) you are driving down the road and you see a cow on it’s back, all fours in the air.. stiffer then a freshly ironed shirt.. deader then a doornail.. just hanging out there (yup.. i saw that) 2) you go to drink a glass of pani (water) and there is a huge ant and you just pick the ant out and keep drinking 3) The electrity works for 5 minutes, then off 5 minutes then on 5 minutes 4) you run out of water 5) you feel like a famous person as you walk down the street 5) when you are riding in a motorcyle or car you can literally reach out and touch someone next to you!
i love south asia!!

ok for the cool papa stories..
Yesterday I went rock climbing on a rock climbing wall (close your eyes mom and dad)… and I met a nep. girl that had just summitted everest and her sis who was a marathon runner. We had a great time together and I am going to meet up with them to run. Please pr*y for this– the girl that summitted everst had a picture of her at the top with a picture of a buddhist monk. How sad to see one of the most amazing splendors of papa’s creation and still not acknowledge him
I got to go to the orphanage last night. It was awesome. I love the kids climbing all over me.. they have a precious 1 year old now… 21 kids and they are soo in love with papa. It’s awesome. I ended up getting to talk with the orphanage nep. leaders forever and pray with them. It was awesome!

Then today I spent 3 hours talking with a didi that comes to feed some of the animals. (didi is what you call nep woman). She is a believer and we had a great time together. We talked for 3 hours and she was trying to teach me nep. and i was teaching her english. Pr*y for the relationship I am developing with her because I really want to disciple her.

ok then for the coolest news: I went back to the hospital I made maxis in 2005 to visit. You know .. i often wondered if I made any impact spending a summer making maxis. But in papa’s kingdom NOTHING Is wasted.. no service big or small. Please be encouraged by that. So I Went to visit and it was a fun visit.. on the way back to my house one of the ladies walked me home. She told me that she was going to Bib*le college. She said, “you introduced me to Papa when you were here” so I wanted to serve him.. so she, and her sister and her husband all became believers and are now in bible college. … maxi making for the glory of God.. how awesome huh!

ok.. sorry this is so long. I must go anyways.. i am going to have dinner with one the girls that we led to believe when I was here in 2005. I will let you know how that goes.
Thanks for reading– let me know how I can lift you up.

peri-betola (see you again)

I know that you have to be the only person he has every used to reach people through Maxi Pads! How awesome! He knew that no body else could get a laugh out of it! ha! It is sooooo hot here! we broke a record today with 103 degrees! it has must be cooler there. well, got to get to bed. you would love it! i have a 1st grade class for this 6 weeks and I’ve never taught 1st graders! They are unbelieveable. I made three of them cry the first day. They cry over everything. Today i had one little boy who cut antoher boys shirt with scissors. When I ask him if he did it he said, “well, yes, but he hit me:! I put him in time out and told him he might not get a treat on Friday. Now, get this!
