Sent: An Interview with Heather Holleman
You guys LOVED Heather Holleman so I am thrilled to welcome her back to the show.
Heather posed a question that is really thought-provoking.
Do I really believe that the gospel is good news?
If I believe the gospel is the BEST news, then I will live a sent life. A life of adventure looking for those I am being sent to express the good news of this gift to.
Maybe you are like me and feel a bit scared of the process of evangelism and picture door to door knocking with your knees knocking?
Maybe you feel unequipped?
Maybe you have experienced the work of evangelism coming with great pressure, numbers driven ect.
I love how Heather and her husband, who co-wrote the book Sent: Living a Life that Invites Others to Jesus started the book sharing that this was not a book primarily about evangelism but finding JOY and intimacy with Jesus.
Evangelism flows from who we are instead of inviting us to do.
- God is always at work to draw people to Himself
- God uses people to lead others to Jesus
- God continually invites us into the work of evangelism.
