Relentless: An Interview with Michele Cushatt
Have you been in what feels like a season of suffering? Do you wonder where God’s presence is?
Allow me to introduce you to my friend Michele Cushatt.
She knows suffering.
Battling with cancer multiple times. Walking through the hard with adopted children who have experienced trauma.
Michele knows suffering– but she knows the hope of the relentless unshakeable presence of a God who never ever leaves.
I think when we go through the hard we need a reminder that we are not alone.
We also need the reminders to feel. To grieve. To question. To doubt.
To run to the one who does not leave.
Michele has bravely done this and grabs our hands and encourages us that we can find hope here also.
One of my favorite parts of this powerful interview was when I asked her what she had in mind for the reader as she was writing. She first said she was writing for herself. But then she said she knew she was supposed to write this book Relentless: The Unshakable Presence of a God who Never Leaves for the one who needed hope just like her.
As she was talking about this reader, she closed her eyes and begin to pray for you.
It took my breath away.
