Finding Hope in God’s Word: An Interview with Stacey Thacker

stacythackerheadshot

Meet my new friend Stacey Thacker. I had, of course, stalked (can we say follow that sounds way more pleasant) her on the internet so I was THRILLED to host her on Coming Alive Conversations.

I loved reading her book Fresh Out Of Amazing because let’s be honest isn’t it freeing to realize we can acknowledge that we reach those moments when we are fresh out of amazing.

I think the internet world tries to tell us that we can have ALL the amazing– keep it all together all of the time with our perfectly curated homes, hearts, families, recipes, hair, clothes all while fitting them in our perfect little Instagram boxes.

But what about when we feel fresh out of amazing.

Stacey reminds us that the real amazing– is Jesus.

Take the pressure off.  Run to the one who carried the cross for us.  Dive deep into the promises of the Word.

As you listen to this conversation with Stacy you cannot help but get excited about the power of the word of God.  In the opening of our conversation we talk about her Facebook post.

And this is Who is speaking ———————->

“Long ago, at many times and in many ways, God spoke to our fathers by the prophets, but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed the heir of all things, through whom also he created the world. He is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of his nature, and he upholds the universe by the word of his power. After making purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high,
