Coming Alive (One CoffeeCup Confession at a time)#write31days

31 Days (1)

Friends, October is one of my favorite times of the year.  I can get behind all the folks on social media who do all the fall things post.

So my first confession #coffeecupconfessions:  I love all things pumpkin spice, flannel, corn maze, and bonfires.  Yup.  I am that girl.  These things make me come alive.

October has also become a THING in the blogging community.  I am not sure how it all started, but there is this thing called the #write31days where bloggers write every day for the 31 days of October.

And well, since I tend to be a little late, here I am on October 2nd, deciding to hop in the challenge (and I would love for you the join me)

(I feel like you should know I have a good reason for being late.  My sweet friends last week surprised me with the gift of a weekend with them in NEW YORK.  Tennessee girl gone citified.  It was so much fun!)

In my newest book, Confessions of a Coffee Cup Collector,  I talk about living a manifesto life.

Every new turn of season I write a manfesto list for that season.  This is just a silly name for a list I write that is full of a  mixture of spiritual goals, life improvement goals, and then just fun silly come alive things I want to be intentional to do that season.  It has taught me to slow and savor.  To fight to notice the moments and come alive in them.

The one pictured is my fall manifesto for this fall.  As we speak, I have a fall candle burning and have already taken my walk on the Greenway for the day.

I want to turn my mundane moments into worshiping-His-magesty moments.  I want to celebrate.  The Bible is full of celebrations.  In fact, they had mandatory celebrations, feasts, times set aside to dance, to play, to fellowship and worship the One who had freed Him.

So for the next 31 days, let’s come alive together.  I am going to do a daily #coffeecupconfession where I challenge you and I to come alive together.

Let’s do it.  (Ps: If you want to check out other #write31days go to this http://write31days.com/the-links/

PPS:  I think I used a record number of links and hashtags in this post

  1. I really like your manifesto list. I haven’t written my “Fall Bucket List,” which is what I called mine last year, yet. I love fall too. I love your idea and look forward to reading what you have to say.
