.. when the task seems impossible.. #comingaliveatChristmas#day8

Have you ever done something that you thought was impossible? Or even sometimes made you feel crazy for even trying.

A long list goes through my mind trying to answer that question.  Sometimes those things are my crazy ideas, like running a marathon when I am not a runner and about 18 miles in asked my sister who was running with me whose dumb idea this was.

She quickly reminded me that it was mine.

Or when I decided to write a 30 page paper the night before it was due.  That seemed impossible.  And let’s be honest not the best idea in the world.

And then there is when God opens doors and calls me to what seems impossible.

Raising support to go live overseas as a missionary.  Are you sure Lord?  And He was and He provided the money in what seemed like impossible timing.

Learning a new language– impossible.  But God provided grace and wisdom and a wonderful Nepalese teacher and I was able to learn to speak.

Writing a book. Impossible.  But God called me to it and helped me through it.

Mary was called to believe in the impossible. To believe that she would be the mother of the son of God.

An angel broke into the stillness of her room and proclaimed this impossible task to her.

And she responded, let it be according to your word.

She allowed the impossible to become possible.

It is an awesome things to be called to things that we cannot do because it allows us to fully see what God can do.  (click to tweet)
