Joy Comes with the Morning: An Interview with Baylor Wilson : Jennifer Hand

Meet my friend Baylor Wilson.

What a power-packed bundle of joy who radiates Jesus.

I loved her random fact on the podcast interview that she can hold a handstand and probably win a contest in it.

I love it because she probably needed that skill at some point when she competed on season 29 of Surivor.

I have gone through spurts of loving watching that show so it was so fun to have someone on the podcast that has been on the show.

I wanted to have her on as the first podcast of Season five in the new year of 2022 (can you believe it) because I feel the reminder that Joy Comes in the Morning is the perfect way to start the year.

This world is full of trials ( I don’t need to remind you of that do I) and Baylor reminds us that not matter what you are walking through Joy comes.

Baylor shares how when she met Jesus she laid down everything: dreams, emotions, trauma and drama at the feet of Jesus and what happened? True peace and joy for the first time ever.

She eventually wrote the song Jesus happened because everyone would always ask her Baylor what happened to you?

She learned to shorten it to Jesus happened.

Can I ask you that same thing? _______ what happened to you?

Can you say Jesus happened?

Isn’t that the coolest way to think about what He has done in your life?

Do you feel you are in an in-between season? In a waiting season?

Baylor reminds us that the waiting season isn’t just for nothing. He is tilling the soil of your heart to prepare you for whatever it is.

That doesn’t mean that you chose to follow Him for the thing you are waiting for– but waiting is a beautiful season.

Trusting the Lord that if it doesn’t happen the way you expected, He is faithful!
