Made to Create: An Interview with Anne Neilson : Jennifer Hand

This morning I was reading in my advent devotional about how we were created by our creative God and what an amazing gift that is.

Each one of us is his unique work of art.

That’s why I loved this interview with Anne Neilson so much.

She talks about how she always knew from the time she was a little girl that she was created to create.

I imagine that some of you may read that sentence and think, well good for her, but I for sure was not created to create– I cannot even draw a stick figure.

But each of us has ways God wants to use us to shine His glory through our life stories.

Anne has so many stories of how God took this calling to create and opened doors that you would not believe.

But it was not always in the time and the ways that she expected.

I want to encourage you my friend. Your life is a unique creation of our creative creator God.

He has plans for you.

And He is using you!

“Satan comes in to confuse us. Every time I would surrender. God I have open hands and an open heart. You show me what I am supposed to do. You guide my steps on this path. You make all the rought spots smooth.

I would say to you don’t ever give up. When God has given you a desire in your heart He delights in the desires of our hearts and He wants to give us more than we can ask or imagine. Do not listen to the voice of the enemy.

I would always come back to Him. Ok Lord, Surrender.

Surrendered hands and heart. Do not give up.”
