Joykeeper: An Interview with Suzie Eller
I had to use this picture to re-introduce you to my friend Suzie Eller.
She is a joykeeper.
The caption under this picture read this: Nine months ago I found out I had breast cancer for the 2nd time. Seven months ago I had a LD flap double mastectomy. Ten weeks ago I had the 2nd surgery to continue reconstruction.
Today I was able to kayak again.
I have learned so much about joy watching Suzie journey through cancer, her husband’s heart attack, and many other situations.
She has learned what it means to find joy, fight for joy, and keep joy.
Maybe you need a reminder today on how to find joy, fight for joy, and most importantly keep joy.
Especially today.
I urge you to get a copy of her new book Joykeeper.
Joy can feel elusive when defined by how you feel in a given moment or what your circumstances are at the present. Sometimes joy feels like it can be taken away, even when things are good.
Let’s learn reminders about keeping joy together.
