Fear is Not the Boss of You : An Interview with Jennifer Allwood : Jennifer Hand

Friend if there is ever a time where we may feel like fear is bossing us around– it is NOW. I love how God works. My new friend Jennifer Allwood wrote this book having no idea that it would be launched into the world during a pandemic that has also created an epidemic of fear.

This interview with Jennifer was recorded months before this pandemic. Isn’t that just amazing of God? What a God of timing!

Can we live in a time today and in the next days when fear is not bossing us around?

YES!

Jennifer talks about how it can be so easy for us to want to stay in the familiar because it feels safe.

We want to stay there versus doing and living the new thing that feels scary.

Let’s be honest: Right now if you are scrolling through social media or the news, EVERYTHING can feel scary.

That’s why I love the reminder that the world needs us free in our fear.

Not pretending we do not have it, but not letting it boss us around.

In the book, Jennifer talks about the difference between confidence and courage.

Confidence says I know what I am doing.

Courage says I do not know but I am willing to try.

Confidence says I know what I am capable of, courage says I know WHO is capable.

During these Corona Virus times, there are so many unknowns.

What I do know is the one who is capable. The one who we celebrate this week who died on a cross but DID NOT stay on the cross and in the grave.

He rose again as HE said. (This is the story of Jesus and if you don’t know him send me a message I would LOVE to introduce you to Him)

I want Him to be the boss of me, not fear.
