New

comingalivequotes (24)

True confession:  I picked this picture and this quote as I was trying to decide what to blog about because of the bright sunny spring-like picture.

It’s been cold and rainy (and it would be fun if it could just be one day cold and snowy ) here in Tennessee, so I was loving this picture of the sun.

And the promise that wrapped up in Christ I am walking in newness of life.

Not just #newyearnewyou but new mercy, new strength, new life every day.

There are still so many posts out there on the “socials” talking about new goals.  New resolutions.  New habits in the New Year.

And my goodness I am easily sucked in when a clothing boutique launches their new line.

I love the word new but sometimes I can forget the new God is doing is in the now.

We do not have to just wait for the next for the new.

I don’t want to miss the new because of the comfort of the old.

I sense God stirring new things in my heart.  Showing me old areas I need to let go– turn over, not keep going back to.

There are some new doors God has opened that are the biggest surprise to me.

For example, God opening the door for me to be a yoga teacher as a ministry tool– the girl who has a hard time telling her right from the left and NO coordination is now leading groups in EXERCISE (now isn’t that just the craziest thing ever?)

Living in the new is the adventure of saying yes to what God is doing in the now.

31 days to Coming Alive

Then there are old lies from Satan that make me want to miss out and run from the fear of the new.

Isaiah 43:18 Remember not the former things nor consider the things of old.  Behold I am doing a new thing, now it springs up, do you not perceive it?

I want to walk in His new mercies.  His new plans.  His new power and strength.

Let’s go into the New Year not just focused on our New Years resolutions but on our making all things new God.

What new thing are you seeing God do in your life right now?
