.. the Light.. #comingaliveatChristmas#Day6

add-heading-4

There is something about a light coming on in the darkness.

I have a motion sensor light outside of my steps leading into my driveway.  I think sometimes I may look like a hilarious crazy person when I am trying to make it sense my motion so that the light will pierce through the darkness and I can get to my car.

I mean I have a flashlight button on my i-phone but I can never seem to remember that.

So I find myself flailing my arms, doing a little dance, trying to move into the place where the light would sense I was there, and flood the darkness.

In the beginning, God said let there be light and there was.

No flailing or wild dancing necessary.  God created that light, spoke and it was.  The light that pierced the darkness.

1,000’s of years later, light pierced darkness again.

Isaiah 9:2 ESV, Those walking in darkness have seen a great light.

God’s light was meant to break into our darkness.  The miracle of Christmas is the light flung from heaven to earth.

— 25 Days to Coming Alive at Christmas

To experience God’s light, all we have to do is walk in it.  1 John tells us that God is light,  and in Him, there is no darkness.

His word is a light to our feet .

He flings light into our darkest nights.

That’s what happened when He came from heaven to earth, in the form of a baby, to bring the darkness to light.

Let’s walk in the light friends.

  1. We enjoyed the light yesterday, didn’t we? You lit up my day when I wasn’t feeling well and would have just hibernated right here if you had not asked me to meet you for lunch! God put you in my day and I’m so glad!! I love you and I love God! There is glory in this season because he came to us as a tiny baby long long ago!
