.. little is much…#comingaliveatChristmas#day3
We were feeding 600 hungry kids at VBS from giant vats of beans and rice in Haiti. And by hungry, these were literally starving kids. It was a sort of organized chaos.
I will never forget the heartbreak we felt as we realized we had gotten to the bottom of the pot and did not have enough beans and rice to feed all of those children. God did provide though as we had tortillas and peanut butter and tuna back the place where our team stayed, so we quickly rolled those up to feed the children.
But the next day, we did not want to run out of food. So we laid hands on those pots and prayed. We prayed for God to take our little and do much. To even have more leftover.
And guess what, God provided. We had more.
Mark 6:30 tells a story of God taking little and doing much. He took a boy’s five loaves and few fish and fed five thousand.
And there was more for leftover.
God takes a little baby named Jesus born in a little town in Bethlehem and does much– redeems the world.
You may feel like you have little. Little resources financially. Little time. Little patience. Little knowledge of God’s word.
But God can do so much with little
Let’s offer our little and watch God do much!
