.. In the waiting… #comingaliveatChristmas#day2

happy-4

Raise your hand if you like waiting?  Oh wait– no one is raising your hand here?

Just today the guy at the oil change place asked me if I wanted to wait for about 25 minutes for him to check out my brakes because my brake fluid seemed low.

I frankly did not have the time to wait so I told him I would have to come back.  Or maybe it was because I would like to live in denial at least one more week because he said brake work starts around 150.00 dollars.

Meanwhile,as I was getting my oil changed, I was waiting for my car to air dry.  See I may or may not have gone through a car wash today.

Which– I never do because I am cheap and figure rain does the job.  But my van was so dirty and dusty and so I thought I would treat my Honda Opal the Odyssey (#minivannonmom)

I  may or may not have forgotten that the back window is somehow opened and won’t shut (it’s a mechanical thing). So I may or may not have gone through the car wash with the window open.  On the bright side, my car inside is bubbling clean 🙂

Back to waiting.

The Christmas story is a powerful reminder to me that even in our waiting, God is working behind the scenes.  (<—- click to tweet)

In the silence between the last words of the prophets in the Old Testament and the Creator bursting forth into the earth  that He created, God was working.

The Jewish people were waiting for a Messiah.  For the king to come.

I want to live my life trusting and waiting for the King to come into my situation.  Truthfully He is already there.

Emmanuel, God with us.

He is with you even in your waiting rooms, waiting spaces, the in-between.

Would love for you to share a comment below about how you have seen God work miracles in your waiting.

  1. God has worked miracles in my life by teaching me, in so many ways, the gift of waiting….the gift of learning to wait with trust. Is it easy, no, but like Jenn’s video
today, we have to trust in His promises that He has a plan for our “wait”.
