What are you expecting #livefreeThursday
I’m expecting. I cannot leave you hanging there at that sentence even long enough to push enter and leave a space in between.
I’m not expecting like you think of when you hear that phrase.. because.. well I don’t expect their will be another Mary and the Virgin birth story, so you can know that is not what I am expecting 🙂 But today, I am linking with my friend Suzie Eller at her place and her writing prompt for live free Thursday is .. I’m expecting. And I am. I am expecting God is doing things, is working, is in the process of speaking some really cool truths in my heart. Recently my best friend from college had a much prayed for miracle baby named Noah. He is ADORABLE, the tiniest cutest little package- and perfect.. and happens to live about 30 seconds from my house, so of course I have to run by and snuggle him. She and her hubby had been expecting baby Noah for short of nine months (He came just a few weeks early.. I am sure he just was ready to meet his “aunt Jenn”) They had been hoping for that which they had not seen yet. They had seen glimpses of him on ultrasound pictures. They had felt glimpses of him as He kicked in her stomach. But oh the joy when they really SAW him. That which they had expected fulfilled in the perfect package.
That’s how I want to be on the lookout for God. That which I am expectant for, fulfilled in His perfect packages. I want to live expectant. HopeFILLED, hopeful. Waiting and believing God is developing and growing things inside of me. Watching for Him. Expecting His hand at work in my life. Praying is the gift of expectancy for God to hear us and answer us (<—- click to tweet) I am excited about what God is doing in my heart post-earthquake Nepal visit. I am excited about the things God is whispering as I do Suzie’s study The Mended Heart. ( not to late for you to join, check out Proverbs 31 online bible study for more info). I am expectant. |
