No more Excuses #livefreethursday

Happy Thursday….

So sorry I  have been behind on blogging.

Well,  these past two weeks have been crazy as our ministry (Coming Alive Ministries) put on it’s annual Spring Bloom Ladies Conference.

We had a blast, and I was  wearing two hats as event planner and  speaker, and well I had a color coded to-do-list , without really any code and just for fun color— and well all the details seems to swallow my brain and so I didn’t type a word of a blog.. and Well, I figured you guys were not really on the edge of your seat waiting for a blog post,  and  did I mention the internet has not been working at my house for the past two weeks– and well I  am still this week in awe of what God did last week so I have not done any blogging– and I almost didn’t do this one..

And then I remembered, to pause, breathe, and remember the prompt for #livefreethursday at my friend Suzie’s place (please click and read and enjoy sharing some time around the live Free Table)  .. the prompt this week..
No more excuses !

When I think of excuses, I often first think of the reasons I am putting off  going to my spin class, or walking , or running, or working out.. and reaching for the cupcake instead.

But when I took a minute and thought, excuses really can trap me and keep me from living free.  I can use excuses for the things I don’t want to do (I can put that off unil later—- much later), for the things I feel ill-equipped to do ( so I don’t have to risk failure)  and for the things I find other more important things to do.

As  we are preparing for  the season of Lent to end and the celebration of Easter to begin, I am realizing one thing.

I am so so grateful My Jesus did not make excuses for His calling to come to earth and DIE.

If that was the calling I knew I had, if I knew a cross was something I would not  only have to carry but be crucified on  ,  I believe I would come up with excuses.

But my precious faithful amazing Jesus– made no excuses.

He died for me, and for you.. for the  ones He knew would try to excuse our sins.

That makes me shout glory, and want to live a life  FREE of excuses because of the one who freely gave His life for me!  (((( click to tweet))))

  1. Jenn, what a beautiful picture of you praising the Lord. You are right. It’s such a gift that there were no excuses as Jesus intentionally walked toward a cross to set us free. Thanks for being a vital part of #livefreeThursday. <3
