Bloom #livefreeThursday

Linking up with my friend Suzie Eller   at her place for  Live Free Thursday.  You are going to want to join the conversation around that table.    Today’s writing prompt:  Bloom.

I love Spring.
I love that everything that was dark and bleak in the winter, all the sudden, bursts forth in a beautiful awesome display of color and beauty.

It blooms.

After doing a Lent study this Easter ,  the journey of Christ to the cross became much more real in a deeper way to me this year.  I knew Jesus died on the cross — but the journey felt so much deeper to me this year as I studied it for the season of Lent.

Post Lent, I am studying the Risen Christ.  And I cannot help thinking about that moment of resurrection.

As the Kari Jobe Song Forever Says:

The ground began to shake

The stone was rolled away
His perfect love could not be overcome
Now death where is your sting?
Our resurrected King
Has rendered you defeated

Whew.  Glory.  The ground shook.  The darkness was broken.   The stone rolled away.

Just like a flower bursts forth and  the bloom  displays beauty… our Jesus burst forth from the grave.

He is risen.

This can impact everything about my life!
I am loved by a risen resurrected Savior (<—- click to tweet)

When winter seems to settle in our souls, we can know. .. even though it may take 3 days (or 3 years, or 33 years)   The ground will  begin to shake, the stone will roll away– His perfect love can not be overcome!
