Welcome to 31 days to Coming Alive #write31days
I am always Last minute Lucy. But I like a good challenge—and even if I know about it for a while, I will still probably be writing my 30 page the night before. Side note, I tried that in grad school once. It is NOT for the faint of heart.
I decided last minute to Join my fellow blogging sisters for the #write31days challenge. And since I am still in that pinch me I really wrote a book, it released and people actually bought it and are reading it stage, I decided to do the 31 days series based on my devotional book 31 days to coming alive (shameless plug, it is available as e-book or print book on Amazon).
So would love you to join me as we journey through 31 days to Coming Alive.
Ps: I am working on this new website. I am not a website developer and I am a last minute girl so it is taking me forever, but I decided if I invite you to join me here in this space then maybe I will finish it faster. So excuse the dust and unfinished construction
I started 31 days to Coming alive with Day 1 an invitation to Come Alive in Christ. The day starts with the story of my first day in Freshman orientation class. I was late and ran up to sit in a chair that was on the top level of a classroom with several levels. Praise the Lord there were only 3 levels and I had chosen to attend a small college. Otherwise the story would have been even more painful and awkward. You will feel awkward to when you think about how when I sat down I did not realize the chair was broken. So when I sat down, so did the chair. Which caused me and the chair to fall to the next level—on top of my newest I have never met you before – friend. And then we all tumbled down to the next level, then the next.. collecting people, and chairs with us. Our teacher dug us out and I will dare say she never forgot my name.
There was a problem with the base of that chair. It was broken.
It could not stand the weight of me. It shifted, it broke, it collapsed because the foundation was broken.
The foundation of Coming alive and living alive must start IN Christ. If you have never accepted His invitation to Come alive, I would love to share that with you. We have a God who sent His son to die for YOU and is now alive.
Alive.
His love, forgiveness and offer of relationship must be the foundation of our life. John 10:10 He came that we might have life abundantly. He came.
Rom 10:9 confess and believe that Jesus is Lord and God raised Him from the dead and you will be saved. This is our invitation. Confess, believe—then a relationship with Christ is signed sealed and delivered to us.
And we then can LIVE—no longer weighed down by our sins.
If you have been in Christ for as long as you can remember would you take a moment to come alive today remembering that beautiful gift of unwrapping that invitation . Take joy in what that has meant for your life.
If you have never accepted that invitation, today is the day. Confess, believe—and then e-mail me and let me know that you have so that I can celebrate with you (and I will send you a free copy of 31 days to coming alive) .
Lets come alive together in Christ – Today! (stay tuned tomorrow for Coming Alive by Coming away)
