Bravery and Being

Friends —
Don’t worry guys.  I know you probably have worried that since I have not posted since my last post that involved the stomach virus that I died from the stomach virus.

No worries.. I didn’t.
I had an issue with my blog page and google and since Coming Alive’s  has so many employees  Executive Director aka me is NOT very technological and could not really figure things out… and Coming Alive has lots of money  technical director is also me.. alas.. I am just now getting it working again.

Here I am though.  I am back.  Ready to come alive with you again.

These past two months I have had to remind myself to sit back and enjoy that a God sized dream came true in the publishing of 31 days to Coming Alive.  Sometimes I think we forget to simply celebrate.  It excites me to celebrate what God did.  How He asked to me to walk on the water and He helped me when I felt so afraid that I might sink.  It makes it worth it.  It is so fun to get pictures like this of dear friends Coming Alive.

This picture made my heart so happy because I used to dream with and talk to these precious girls Melanie and Crystal about my dream of speaking and writing words that call people alive in Christ.  How fun to get this picture! (31 days to coming alive available for purchase here
I am learning about being brave.  And that bravery brings beauty.
Do you ever just long for a little extra ounce of bravery.
Bravery in your work situation, in your family situation, in your financial situation, your church situation?
Bravery in your calling, your confidence?  Bravery in your ability to do THIS thing and brave enough to admit you are not very good at THAT thing?
Bravery to do things you may fail at and bravery to fail?
Bravery to celebrate when you succeed, try again when you fail, and push through when you want to give up?
Bravery to be?  To be you in all your Psalms 139 fearfully and wonderfully made  glory?  You are created to give glory to God as you are!
Brave in your quirks– like the way you snort when you laugh, can’t find your floor for all the clothes that should be hung up but you have not found the time to do just yet, your ability to accidentally catch things on fire without even trying (oh wait that’s all me!)
Bravery is knowing you bring BEAUTY being exactly who God created you to be <—– Click to tweet
Last week I went to a fabulous writer’s conference , the Blue Ridge Mountains Writers Conference.  It started on Sunday.  I decided to go on Sunday 🙂  (I like to walk on the wild side).  There were moments as I signed up to meet with agents and publishers about my next book that I felt like a little goldfish pretending to be a dolphin in the big seas.
But Bravery is stepping out anyways.
Bravery is laughing when your pork chop flies through the air and lands on the famous writer’s lap you next to you as you are cutting it.
Bravery is laughing when you trip over your flip flops and fall in the agents lap you are about to meet with.
Bravery is knowing all doors may shut, or fling wide — and doing it anyways.
You my friend reflect God’s beauty as you are brave.  Not only when you get the right results, but when you step out on the water and walk anyway.

Ps:  join us back here tomorrow I will share a yummy easy summer icecream cake recipe with you and a giveaway!
