Day 4 Coming Alive Challenge : prayer
Hello my Coming alive Friends.
I am having so much fun on this coming alive journey with you. Don’t forget you can still get 31 Days to Coming Alive by clicking HERE and start your 31 Day Journey to connecting with Christ and Coming Alive.
Speaking of connecting.. I am connecting up with my Dear friend Holley Gerth for coffee for your heart Wednesday. Go there for some awesome encouragement.
Day Four and Day Five in 31 days to Coming Alive are about prayer. We overcomplicate it sometimes.
Let’s be honest, we forget what an incredible gift it is sometimes.
Prayer is a joy. It’s talking the Joy giver.
It’s being listened to by the one who whispers to the wind and it blows.
It’s communicating the secret depths of your heart to the one who FORMED your heart, knows each beat, and keeps it beating.
It’s talking about your ups and downs– your highs and lows, your joys and sorrows.
It’s not only being listened to by the God who spoke the universe into being– it’s listening for His voice to speak back to you.
And we can pray powerful prayers based on the promises of God.
How can I pray for you?
You are soooo right! So often we fear talking to God as if he actually knows us. Thank you for the encouragement to pray big, pray honest and pray all the time.
Thanks for your beautiful post! I was lucky to find your blog through the link up you had done on Holley's blog. Thanks for encouraging us to pray simply to our great creator. Blessings, Nazila
Lord, help me yield to Your Spirit groaning in me so I do not settle for "pitiful prayers" Make me bold in Your power. Use me to change the world in a big way.(Even if my big way seems small to me now.) You've given us a message to speak. Help us be brave enough to tell it to as many as will listen. Amen
Love you so much Jenn!!! Always pray you're being the gentle and serving "hands" of Christ to those around you.
She Speaks this year? Thought about The Declare Conference? It's in Texas.
No more generic prayers! God is too great for those bland, unbelieving prayers. Love this! Thank you for sharing your heart.
