Now.. it’s been a great week for this dreamer… I was asked to do my first official stand up comedy routine (and I loved it.. so if you are looking for a stand up comic, I am your girl), met with Jan Silvious about a retreat we are doing together.. yup.. this lady who wrote
yup.. co-leading a retreat with her.. what a gift !
Had an awesome coaching client session (and no I don’t coach in volleyball or trac lol.. althought in case you didn’t know I did run a marathon once.. lol.. have to get that in whenever)
And had our 2014 Coming Alive Ministries Board planning retreat..
Which equaled lots of fun
I love these group of crazies who came alongside my crazy God sized dream of starting coming alive ministries– which has been going on since 2012 now.. glory !
We had an awesome time reflecting on the faithfulness of God in this journey and dreaming what is to come.
But I did something else this week that stands out to me also..
drumroll please.. i cleaned my room. I mean that has been my last priority. I am not going to tell you how bad it looked but let’s just say I could not see the floor and my five year old nephew volunteered to clean if I paid him a dollar.
But my new year resolution (which so far I am doing ok at) is to do things that i put off doing.. so I cleaned and organized my room..
But I got distracted at this point.. when I got to this shelf!…
These are prayer journals full of prayers– and if you think about it. prayers are dreams.. dreams about what God is going to do… these are years of journals where I poured out my prayers– my dreams… which in turns means that I have met the dream giver.. Jesus.. in every one of those pages..
The pages of our dreams leads to our dream giver..
That is what is so fun about praying, dreaming, asking God for your journey because you meet God on your journey.
My heart has journals of a journey..
I bet yours does to!
Oh this was a delight. Love your pictures. So much excitement here. And your prayer journals…I got goosebumps thinking of the dreams that must be found in those. So glad I linked up next to you today. It's been a while since I've been here and is was super good to see you.
Blessings,
Beth
I need to start journaling my prayers again…because then I can look back and see all the ways that God has answered and redeemed my dark times!
I always smile when I visit your space, my friend…I love this, and it's so exciting to hear about all He's doing with your dreams! Gotta admit, I SO wish I could have been there for your stand-up comedy act. I know you rocked it!!! Blessings and hugs to you today! xo
I have all of my prayers journals in a drawer in my room, I should get them out and display them, to be reminded of how far I've come.
Every time I see a picture of you, you have the biggest best smile on your face, it's so contagious!! 🙂
Jenn – Wow. I am so stinking proud of you, too. What a testimony, and what grace and obvious blessing God's poured over you and your ministry since those years ago when we met at She Speaks. You inspire me, friend. And I'm so looking forward to hearing more from you in the comedy world. How fun is that?? Blessings, sis.
Love this post… I know of all the things you did on this list, I bet knowing you cleaning your room wads the toughest! Proud of you friend!
