Joy

Friends– I am a day late for my task of being on the wonderful God sized dream team

In case you are new here.. click on that pic to go to the amazing Holley Gerth’s blog to learn more about God sized dreams.  She has been such an encouragement to me. In fact, she has written me to check in on me almost everyday since my Dad has been sick. What a blessing.  I highly highly recommend her book You’re Made for a God-sized dream. It is amazing . For all the dreamers out there.  And frankly we all should be dreamers…. because.. well we were made for God-sized dreams.

Anyway… this week we were supposed to write about what brings us joy, especially when it comes to our God-sized dreams.

Well first.. this…

Joy was waiting outside the hospital for my Dad to come home.. after 30 days.. and after many times being told by docs he would not live/not leave.. glory to our GOD!  JOY!
However, Joy was found in the hospital to. Joy was knowing God never leaves.. EVER
Joy was in the beautiful body of Christ who held us
Joy was watching my dad gather His awesome nursing staff… who hugged us like old family members leaving when He left. Joy was watching my dad gather the 7th floor oncology nurses and Him praying the sweetest prayer of thanksgiving over them as He left. Joy is watching my mom and dad minister even in the darkest of circumstances.

Joy is knowing that there is always hope, even in the DARKEST times because God is Light and in Him there is NO darkness at all (check out the book of 1 John)

Joy was:

Getting an awesome manicure provided my sweet friends on my birthday which happened to also be the same joy of living out my God sized dreams of providing conferences through the ministry God allowed me to start, Coming Alive Ministries– in which we provide woman an invitation to come alive in Christ.  My friends spoiled me as I got ready to speak that day. One should always plan a conference the same day as your birthday– especially when you have spent a month at the hospital with your dad.

Joy is the incredible friends God has granted me. And joy is why I never ever can get a picture where I am not laughing.. Joy is watching the random stranger who took our picture get very confused when he heard my snorting laugh.  He wondered if I was ok

Joy was my friends getting me that awesome pedicure that same day

And well.. i don’t know what happened here.. but this was the face of JOY.  My sweet friends were getting me all doodied up to speak at the conference that night… and i was giggling about something.. because.. well.. JOY!

This is so true.

A few years ago God gave me my God-sized dream.
He planted in me a deep desire to call people to COME ALIVE– to leave the mundane numb life behind and live out John 10:10 and come Alive.
Part of that dream was to see woman (and sprinkle in some men to) come to a conference in which they come away with the King and Come alive.
We called those conferences BLOOM.  You can see more pictures of them at www.facebook.com/comingaliveministries
This past weekend was our 4th one.  Whew.. only God.
And they are BEAUTIFUL.
And the woman that come are BEAUTIFUL
(and might i add the prayer team of guys that come and pray all weekend long for us aren’t to bad looking themselves)
Joy this weekend was watching God take my weakness and BE STRONG.
Joy was knowing I could not do it– after walking the deepest valley with my dad’s health.. I was exhausted, but God could
Joy was watching God take over and show up.
Joy was speaking.. I love speaking God’s word. His truth over woman.
Joy was watching us all

Come Alive!
