Hello dear friends.. Thanks for joining me today. Remember me telling you that I have been blessed to be selected as a blogger for Holley Gerth’s God-sized dream team. Well today starts our weekly Tuesday link-ups about how we are following after our God sized dreams! Would love for you to pour yourself a cup of coffee and join me every Tuesday!
Truth be told we all have dreams right.
Those secret things we wish could happen in our lives, but we don’t always share because they seem.. well silly maybe, or impossible maybe, or unreal maybe.
I’ve had a few CRAZY dreams that i am positive wont happen.
When I was little I always watched Baywatch and dreamed of being pamela anderson and saving people.
Well let’s be honest.. NOT GONNA HAPPEN!
I dreamed of being a doctor. I always played doctor as a kid. But then when I got to college I took Biology 100 and realized.. umm.. i don’t want to work hard enough to be a doctor. That dream.. well wasn’t going to happen.
But God has planted in us dreams that He wants to happen.. plans to happen.. equips us to make happen.. that is if we will fall at His feet, drop our dream boxes and let His hands take them, mold them, shape them– then Hand them back to us complete with the power to do them.
While we recently were in Haiti we studied Ephesians.. the whole book.. and it blew me away.
What if in light of dreams you put these verses together: and inserted your name..
2:10 for Jenn (or your name) is His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works (for God-sized dreams) which He has prepared in advance that I should walk in them.
Ephesians 1:19 and what is the immeasurable GREATNESS of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His might, the same power that raised CHRIST from the dead (glory now that’s some power to fuel our God sized dreams)
Ephesians 3:@0 now to him who is able to do FAR more abundantly then all we can ask or think or imagine
Now that gets me excited.
That makes me think about my God-sized dream and realize it can become reality. And you know what . the past year has been full of it becoming a reality.
In 2012 God took my God-sized dream and gave me a graphic to describe it
Gave me a board of directors to help pull it off.. help me do stuff like apply for non-profit, make by-laws ect
Let me experience God show up and show out at 3 Bloom conferences put on by Coming Alive
Allowed me to have my first coming alive home party
See a room full of woman of all ages coming alive in Christ
Gave me chances to write and write some more…
So in light of that..
I get excited about my God sized dreams for this year:
And can sum them up like this (and i have some secret ones just between me and Jesus to.. and if those come I will let you know hahah! but those are me and Jesus secret)
I long in 2013 to continue to use coming alive ministries to provide an invitation for woman to come alive through 1) conferences reaching over 500 woman 2) speaking internationally to woman in 3rd world countries who need Hope 3) counseling and coaching through Coming Alive
4) and lastly to write my first book on Coming /Alive
So there they are.. my God-sized dreams.
Now..
What are your Ephesians 3:20 God sized dreams? Please share so I can pray
Wow … was praying just this morning about dreams and purpose in my life! Perfect timing, thanks Jenn. I have some dreams on my heart, just praying for the Holy Spirit to lead and to truly trust HIS plan. Ha … so mine are secret still as I continue to pray. These past two weeks, I have been reminded of Ephesians 3 three times! From the online stream of Passion 2013, a word of encouragement from a friend, and now from your amazing blog. I am listening LORD!
Great post. Congratulations on your accomplishments thus far. Prayers being sent your way.
oohh i really liked putting my name in the above verses, I think it's a good way to personalize them! I hope your Coming Alive ministries blossoms and becomes all you pray it to be! Good luck fellow Dream Sister!
Beautiful post. I love the scripture you mentioned and your dream! I'm so inspired by your recent trip to Haiti. I would love to learn more 🙂
Love this post and so excited to be a "buddy" to encourage you!! I am even more excited that you have a heart for Haiti…my dad has been to Haiti several times and has even taken my 16 yr old son twice! I have a feeling we will be enjoying this "ride" together!!
