Tight ropes and Graduation
Welcome back old friends… welcome New friends:
First let me say I realize I have been a very good deliquent blogger for months now. I am so sorry folks. I have been super busy finishing my last semester of Grad school, seeing clients, and *insert teary eyed excitement mixed with a hleathy dose of fear* persuing the actual start up of a ministry that Has been on my heart for as long as I can remember
I have longed
to invite others to Come Alive in Christ. If Christ is who He says He is and Has done what God’s word
says He has done.. Raised from the DEAD.. fully ALIVE.. then we as Christians should be the most ALIVE vibrant people on earth. Not a health welath and prospertiy no problems kind of life, but a life lived fully ALIVE in who we are in Christ
Not sucked into the numbness of getting by, survival, making it to the weekend
But living Fully Alive
Inviting Jesus into the Sacred and Secular
The Big and the little moments of our life…
Knowing He is already there
Hence the name Coming Alive Ministries.
The Dream: Start a ministry designed to invite people to come alive
The way: Provide retreats and conferences for people to come away with Jesus and Come Alive
Provide affordable Christian counseling to encourage the soul weary in their lives
Take these retreats conferences and counseling to minister to missionaries and nationals overseas
Since I was a kid on the playground I remember forcing my friends to come to my Bible “club” where I taught out of my precious moments Bible. I love to teach God’s word. I love to marinate in God’s word. I love to share it– live it– speak about it.
So hear I am.. beginning the steps of following my dream.
I graduated last Saturday. For the second time from same school. Two different masters degrees with a 6 year span in between. God wrote that into my story as a surprise for me! This MA in Professional Counseling would provide the tools in my toolbox to help those walking through the valleys find hope and healing.
Last month I had my first Board meeting. I am so excited about the precious Board members God has brought together for Coming Alive Memories. So excited to see what God does. I feel unequipped to have any idea how to run a board of directors.. but gratefully God is the ultimate director and He promises to guide our steps.
A few months ago had the Coming Alive Logo made by an amazing group: The Visible group in Athens.
Last month I also had the first coming Alive Ministries Conference. The theme: BLOOM an event for college and high school girls to be encouraged to Bloom in Christ
The result: amazing to watch these girls experience healing and freedom and joy as they Came Away with the Lord and Came Alive
It was like watching a dream come true for me. I still can’t quite smiling about it.
Yesterday I finished my last day of clinicals in counseling and begin next week my practice at church. If you know anyone that needs counseling in the Chattanooga area please call (423)994-7110 would love to see if I can walk the journey with you.
All this to stay: It’s overwhelmingly EXCITING, fun, crazy, scary.. insert your own emotional word I have probably felt it.
My friend Casey described it well. It’s like you are walking on a tightrope across Niagara falls. You’ve been dreaming about it, planning for it, hoping it, and here you are.. walking across it.. your dream.. in front of a crowd.
I just read yesterday someone actually did just get approved to walk across Niagara falls on a tightrope. He said, I can’t tell you how many times I was told no.. this is impossible. He had to see two laws changed in 2 countries.. but it was his dream since He was 6 and He kept after it because it made Him come alive.
Jesus Christ and inviting others to Him makes me come alive. following His dream for my life no matter what that looks like sounds like the best tight rope walk to me. Would you be a part of the crowd joining me? Would you pray? Would you sign up and follow this blog. Would you like the comingalive ministries page on FB. Would you let me know how we can pray for you? And would you let us know if comingalive can assist you in your journey to come alive.
i am reminded that the Same Hands that took the nails of calvary, and my sin is the same Hand guiding me on this tightrope walk of faith. Is the same Hand that flings the stars at night and paints the sunrise in the morning– this Hand in extended to me saying come on..
psalms 63:8
Wanna go?

I've missed reading your blog, but so glad to see you back. Congrats on your graduation. It excites me beyond words to see how the Lord is working in your life and giving you this opportunity for ministry. The new logo looks awesome. I still have my pink Precious Moments Bible from when I was a kid 🙂 Except I didn't use mine near enough back then lol. Praying for you and Come Alive Minsitries everyday. Keep on following the Lord and living out your dreams. I think the best is yet to come and you'll be amazed at what's next! Love ya bunches.
