Going on an “venture”
Isn’t this little guy soo stinking adorable. It is very hard to get a picture of him not in motion.
I love being Aunt Nenn
Every Thursday him and I go on a donut date. I loooove it. He wears His cute footie pj’s and we go and we have a donut and then if it is warm enough we go play on the playground. He picks the bacon off my yummy pancake and bacon donut and always wants a chocolate donut with pink icing… and he mostly just licks the icing off the top!
After our donut date we usually go to the playground. This time of year however, it is to cold, so we went to Aunt Nenn’s house.
Alex found chuck the truck in my aunt nenn closet. Chuck the truck cracks me up because He stays in my closet and I forget about it, and then He will randomly talk. I live alone so this always frightens me a bit. when I hear something in the closet growling… and then it says Here we go!
Anyways.. Alex said, Let’s go on an Venture Nenn (translation Adventure)
He was so excited and had exact ideas about what it would be to go on this venture. He would drive Chuck the Truck all around and I would “drive ” another tractor around. The trouble is He is 3 and close to the ground, I am 39 and not. He would run like a flash with his truck.. I would get tried of running around on my knees.. they got sore, and I would try to stand up and do it
He would say, That’s not the way you do an venture nenn. You have to do it exactly like me, and follow my lead.
Great thoughts! Thanks for putting me in your list? Btw, when did you jump from 29 to 39? Ha!

Wanted to stop by and say thanks for your comment. It looks like your family is having a little miracle of their own. Congrats! Being an aunt is amazing.
Hey Jenn, what a beautiful reminder to begin the adventure with God on our knees. And your nephew is adorable. You are so blessed. Thank you for your kind comment on my blog. Hope to see you at SDG next week!
wow — how clearly God speaks through every day experiences.
Rather than saying a quick prayer before we run out the door in the morning or fall asleep at night, we must invest time in seeking the Lord’s face and listening for His answer. It is the biblical pattern. Throughout Scripture, we see God’s servants falling on their faces before the Lord. For instance, Hezekiah prayed before leading his army to war, and Daniel knelt in prayer even though it meant being thrown into the lion’s den. God acts on behalf of those who wait on Him—spend time in prayer to Him and trust in Him (Isaiah 40:31). Prayer connects us with the power of the Holy Spirit. There is nothing more powerful than having the Creator of the universe on your side. Prayer encourages us. When we spend time one on one with Him, His Word and His Spirit lift us up. Prayer gives believers insight we can get NO other way. Fall on your face before God and worship Him for who He is and find victory every time.
