Dancing in the rain
Isnt it funny how you can go quickly from this in one day
to this in another day!
to this in another day!
and dance in the rain?
We have had no rain.. no rain.. i repeat no rain this summer. It has been dry as a bone. I have borrowed, begged and stolen from about every pool owner I know this summer. And It has been wonderful (thank you for all who have blessed with your pools this summer). And I have loved it. The top picture was taking on Saturday at a pool where I was blessed to housesit this weekend. Note to all the single ladies out there: housesitting is one of the greatest benefits of being single 🙂
The next day: POURING rain. Labor day picnic plans turned to labor day play indoors plans for everyone. Out of nowhere we received the highest amount of rain we have had in one day .. record breaking.
What do you do with that?
Dance in the rain
according to my precious 3 year old nephew
He remembered how one time when He was about 1 1/2 I had told him, let’s go dance in the rain. And we did. So when it was pouring and we were changing our plans to cuddle up and stay in.. he said let’s go dance in the rain nenn. Who can resist that? So we did.. and we had the best time… him, my crazy sis and I. I did not include any pics of us.. because pics of 29 year old drowned rats= not as cute!
We danced
and I thought
This is what Jesus longs for us to do
When the world spins and goes from sun shining to
downpouring
DANCE..
Take his hand
Even if we don’t understand the rain,
like the rain
sometimes want the rain but want to watch it from indoors
Get out in it
and DANCE
Psalms 30 says God turns our mourning into dancing.. wow. What a promise
So
Let’s DANCE
How are you going to dance in the rain today? Thanks for commenting.. i love to hear from yall
Lovely thoughts, lovely photos. By all means, let's join the Lord of the dance! Thanks for stopping by today.
I love this analogy! To dance in the rain of life. I will keep this image in my head today! 🙂 It is not just about accepting hardships and learning to be content, but it is learning to dance, to appreciate them, to rejoice in the midst of suffering! I'd love you to link this up today on my On Your Heart Tuesday blog hop.! http://www.shandaoakleyinspires.com
Love your dancing in all circumstances. Sweet pics.
Love this. I would dance in the rain too if we had any. Blessings!
I would stay in the rain for hours if I could…praying that day will come soon to our land. So grateful y'all got rain! But, the truth is, I can dance figuratively — with Jesus, giving Him my worries and cares and embracing His freedom.
Dancing I read this and thought this is such a joy post, and I love it!
We NEED literal and figurative rain, don't we? Thank you for sharing these words. Visiting from Shanda's.
I used to love to go out and play in the rain too! I would gladly dance in the rain with you and Michelle and sweet little Alex. And you're right, God helps us find joy in the rain of our lives! After all He brings us the rainbow after the rain, right? I love you, Aunt Brenda
I don't naturally want to or even know how to dance. I must come hang out with you.Fondly,Glenda
