Playground Conversation
I LOOOOOVEE this little guy– my two almost three year old nephew alex. Every Thursday is donut date with Alex day. I love that my sis said He gets out of bed with joy and excitement and says it’ donut date day. We get a donut and then we go to the playground. Today my sis joined us for our date.
I was walking with Alex and He said something
that took my heart to Jesus
and moved me to the Core!
We were walking to the playground and he had his arms wrapped tight around aunt nenn. He had a sparkle in eye and a giggle on his lips and He said so cutely
Aunt Nenn do you love me?
I loved it. I giggled back as He giggled– cause I knew He already knew the answer. Of course I do.. I show Him all the time. I love to spend time with Him, treat him to things, play with him, snuggle him, dance and sing with Him, play on the playground with Him. I SAID..
Of course I love you!
Then I said
How much does Aunt Nenn love you?
He replied
GOOD!
That rocked me to the core. Good. Not a number when I said how much. He said Aunt Nenn loves me good. And i thought what if I had this same conversation with Jesus.
With a giggle in my eyes and on my lips… Jesus do you love me?
He is thinking.. of course! I show you all the time. I love to spend time with you, treat you to things, play with you, dance and sing over you and with you…. of course.. but He replied with a smile and a giggle on His lips
Yes.. then He says
How much do I Jesus love you?
And I reply
GOOD
Because He does
Jesus loves me GOOD!
How about you? Have you felt the GOOD love of God today?
How does that change your day?
Precious! No matter what His love does for us, no matter what he allows to happen or doesn't allow to happen, His love is not measured that way…but we can trust that it is GOOD, because He is the only GOOD God.Love it!Everly
Just a little link to go along with your post! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VdYfcvZBtgI You posted made me happy!
That is beautiful! Compared to "Jesus loves me GOOD", "I love you to the moon and back" just seems a bit less impressive!
This is a precious story, and one you will always remember. Thank you for sharing – it made me smile! You are a wonderful gift to that little man. He is blessed to be loved by YOU!
How sweet is that! I love how children think and express themselves and then how God uses it to remind us of Him. Beautiful analogy.
