Dear God thank you for…

This will not be a super long post. My brain feels a little bit like mush after taking my first exam being back in grad school again . Human growth and development.. very interesting stuff.. reminds me again and again how fearfully and wonderfully made we are. Unfortunatly part of this exam included remembering very technical stuff about how fearfully and wonderfully made we are.. down to words like teratogen (which is from the green word monstor in case you were wondering), what it’s called when your uterus shrienks after pregnancy, and piagets 4 cognitive stage (not to be confused with the 3rd which is concrete operational!) Did I mention how fearfully and wonderfully made we are! (hope I fearfully and wonderfully made a good grade on this exam).

Last night I went to my wonderful twin sisters house to watch biggest loser. I am in the dark ages and don’t have a tv.. so this is kindof our tuesday night thing. We love it. We usually eat popcorn and chocholate as we watch! so I got there early enough that Alex was not in bed yet (alex is my adorable nephew pictured above). I just love him so much! He totally has me wrapped around his finger. Bed time is one of my favorite times. He wants you to sharock him (how he says rock), snuggle, sing and read. I love reading to him… rather with him ! (he’s memorized his favorites.. my personal fav..the nose book). Then rocking him proves hard because He makes me laugh. He always asks to sing his favorite song.. faithfulness.. what 2 year old asks for that.. and he giggles.. I giggle.. it’s great.

So last night michelle asked him to say a goodnite prayer. He said… “Dear God.. thank you for Becky (who was also there).. and aunt nenn.. and aunt nenn.. and aunt nenn.. and aunt nenn. !” AMEN! you better believe my heart melted into a big ol’ puddle right there.. it warmed my heart so much. And it made me think.. what would we do to the heart of God if we repeated HIS names over and over like that.. DEAR GOD.. thank you for being JEHOVAH, GOD ALMIGHTY, HOLY, Counselor, JESUS, name above all names, LORD ect.. AMEN? Wanna crawl up in his lap and pray a prayer like that and melt his heart? I do!
