This is me at the hyatt desert flambe (have no idea how to spell that) making station. My team suprised me on sunday with an awesome going away party at the hyatt.. my happy place. We had an AMAZING meal.. a day at the spa which included much needed showers, time swimming, and they paid for me to have an hour hot stone massage. Then they also suprised me with a tibetan rug that I had seen once when I was with leah and I did not buy it but i really wanted it. They made me feel so loved and special. I felt like a spoiled princess

Me (not so good a picture.. oh well) enjoying my yummy apple pie with bluberry flambeh (again don’t know how to spell) note the big smile. So funny, I asked the flambet making guy what was in the flambet.. he said blueberries and brandy– (heated brandy of course.. the liquor was gone) I smiled big when He said brandy apparently so He proceeded to just pour a huge spoonful over the cake. How do I get myself into these things?

our fearless team leader shyam about to show down on some meat

This was one of the yummy things they made for me on the buffet. you just told them what you wanted and they brought it to you– and they had such good service I promise they were almost singing when they brought it to us. It was a great time with the team

Me and my teammates Daniel and Chrissy at the wonderful lunch my team gave me at the hyatt. I felt so spoiled by them.

Me and Nista getting ready to chow down on my going away dinner at her parents..

Yes all of this was for me.. and that was the first course.. I had to eat seconds of all of this.. whew.. my stomache is soo full to night! But it was a great time. This is the food I will be eating so much of at my going away dinenrs. Dhal (lentil soup you put on rice), meat curry (pictured on the right in the bowl), curd (the white milky stuff), achar (in the middle.. like a tomatoe sauce, Bhat (the rice) and takari (cauliflower, veggies ect) you put it all on the rice, stir and eat with your hands. I really do like it.. but they feed you soo much

Isn’t He adorable. He is the exact same age as my alex.. and they named His Alex also. i had a blast playing with him tonight. Can’t wait until I get to be with his america twin 🙂

A family that I have become close with. They are nistas parents (you will see more pictures of her) What awesome testimonies they have. I went for a goodbye dinner at their house tonight.. sO MUCH FOOD. they fed me and fed me and fed me some more.

Me and pastor philip and His cute wife today. He is the pastor of the church out west we did the womens conference for. I came to their house in the city to visit them today

Isn’t she the most adorable woman!

Me at my nepalee families house. They are hindu and I have just fallen in love with them. They own the shop right next to our house. We call them ama and baa (mama and Dad). The wife is so animated and dramatic. I will miss hearing her yell, Chorie– my daughter.. where are you going !

Me and Ama.. I love her

Me and nista outside of the restraunt where I took her to eat.

Took my close friend Nista out for the works at a beauty salon. She has been such a blessing to me I wanted her to feel like God’s princess. It was such a blast. She had never done anything like that before

Me and nista at the beauty salon. I got my hair washed. We had been without water for a long time and my hair was STINKY

Forgot to tell you our goat Saggy had a baby.

Two weeks from now I will be boarding the plane to go back to america. This is so hard for me to believe. I have so many mixed emotions including sadness over saying goodbye, excitement over the glorious homecoming to come.. and JOY and worship that springs out when I think about all that God has done. Again I have so much to say, but it’s hard to process all that is going through my heart and mind right now just yet.. so I thought I would leave you with some pictures of what I have been doing lately– visitng with all y friends.. sooo many people I have fallen in love with and they have fallen in love with me.. so I am booked everyday for lunch and dinner at nepalese homes until I leave.. so most of my days have consisted of sitting in homes, eating eating and more eating, drinking tea tea and more tea. What a blessing to see those whom God has given to me. Thought I would just leave you with some photos so you can see these lovely faces 🙂

  1. It feels like cheating to be reading some of your final posts from Nepal seeing that I'm working my way through the posts from the beginning of your journey.

Thank you for your prayers Jenn. May God grant you peace and comfort as you make the transition back to the states in a couple of weeks.

  2. Jenn,
I enjoyed seeing all of these pictures, but I noticed something missing in most of them. Instead of the smiles we've been accustomed to seeing on your Nepali friends' faces, there is a look of sadness. It's obvious how much they have grown to love you, Jenn. You have had such a huge impact on their lives. They will never be the same because you obeyed God and came to live with them for a season. Thank you for showing them the Lord's love for the past two years.

    Two more weeks!!!!
