It’s a small world after all

I was reminded last week how It truly is a small world after all. First I was out to dinner with some friends. I had heard that there were two girsl coming from India to study nepalee language for a few weeks that would be staying with a friend of mine. When they came to the dinner I was talking to them– thought nothing of it. You know how you see someone in somewhere you don’t expect to see them so you don’t recognize them. I was talking to this one girl and she said, wait are you Jenn from oolteawh. I was like.. yes. She’s like I’m Brittany– Chris Preston Cauldwell’s best friend.. I used to come on the weekends adn we went to mexican restraunts every sunday together.
OH YEAH. She’s my friend’s friend– We used to go to church with and then after church to a Mexican restraunt every week with the Prestons, who are basically like family. SO I had seen and hung out with britt many times. And here she was on my side of the world. It’s been fun to hang out with her this week.. I took her and another gal shopping on friday to all the good places that I know. It’s a small world after all.

Then last Thursday our living room was full of people that used to live/or currently live in Chattanooga TN. Crazy huh. Leah used to live in Chattanooga. I’m from there (sortof, harrison you know.. not a booming metropolis so chattanooga counts), Daniel and Chrissy our other team mates went to college in Chattanooga. Well then there was Jency and her husband Nathan. I had met Jency on an Emmaus walk and God had brought her to do some m work in nepal these two weeks. Her and her husband manage the World Next Door fair trade store in Downtown by collidge park. You should totally go there. They will soon be sporting nepal goods. Then there was another couple that they were friends with from chattanooga.. chad and leslie. ALso in nepal for 2 weeks. Leslie is actually from harrison. Jency brough Rembrants coffee for me.. I was stinking excited. All of us Chattanooga poeple in one room… of course all of use discovered crazy connections we had with eachoter and you know this person I know and such.. We had mexican food (I love cooking mexican food here) and had a great time of fellowship. It’s a small world after all. (lots of restraunt in chattanooga talk came up– we miss(iaonry types often talk about that.. which foods we miss, what our first meals will be, last meals were.. ect ect.. us chattanooga people had a great time comparing food!)

I love how beautiful the body of Christ is. I had only met Jency once.. but of course I wanted her and her husband to come over. Never met the other couple. But why shouldn’t we joyfully come together and fellowship– after all at the wedding supper of the lamb we will be doing the same thing for eternity.. except with Jesus at the head of the table! I love how you can be so connected in the body of Christ so quickly. Had a great time.

In other news: It’s been thundering and raining here all day. Never have I been so excited and uncomplaining to be stuck in a rainstorm on my scooter.. dry nepal was desperate. I love that it is filling up our water tank which equals showers and toilet flushage
Politically things are not good right now… don’t want to go into details on here.. just pray
Spiritually God is blessing my socks off
Physically I apprciate you guys prayers so much.. it’s been a long time since I’ve been sick.. glory

Prayers needed: tommorow we welcome 17 college students from liberty university. Pray for their trip. Pray for God ordained steps– pray for Leah and I as we lead them for 2 1/2 weeks.. pray for flexibility as things never go as planned here.. and pray for God to use them and us in fruitful ministry. May this trip change their lives. May their hearts be opened like never before. May their stomaches be strong and their spirits high. Please pray and pray for leah and I have to have good energy, wisdom , and for God’s schedule even if it is completely different from the one that we have planned

i love you guys

  1. Hey sweet girl! Praise God for the rain there and for your fellowship with friends from Chattanooga! I know that was fun! I can’t wait for you to come home. I talked to your mama a couple of days ago and she sounded like she was doing real good. I’m so glad it seems to be going better this time. I still have two weeks until the cast comes off. I’ll be glad to be able to do something and GET OUT OF THIS HOUSE! (and yes, I’m shouting)!!! I pray that your sessions will be very fruitful for you and Leah and all the girls attending! I love you girlie-girl! Aunt Brenda

  2. Wow, Jenn, what exciting news. Old and new friends from Chattanooga, Rembrandts coffee, great food and fellowship and lots of rain! It’s being raining here for days and days and days. I asked the Lord to please send some of it your way, so I’m thrilled to hear that He is answering our prayers.

I’ll continue to pray for you and Leah while you spend the next couple of weeks with the students from Liberty. You’ll get to see Nepal through fresh eyes, and I know you’ll be amazed at how far the Lord has brought you and how much grace He has given you to live joyfully in some pretty unpleasant conditions. Just one more reason I’m proud of you.

    Love you bunches,
    Sandra
