Random thoughts
So guys. sorry.. again it has been to long since I have posted. I am so sorry. I hope that all my blogger friends are doing well. I have just been really busy.. doing good stuff.. have had a great couple of weeks. This past weekend we (me and leah) hosted a ladies retreat for the single ladies at our church. it was such a blast.. one of my favorite things that I have done since I have been in Nepal so far! I LOVED it. These are the ladies that come to my Bible study and our church so I feel really close to them. We had a blast. It’s sad because nepalee ladies that are not married are really looked down upon.. way more then america. So it was such a blessing AS SINGLE women to tell them they are not looked down upon by God.. that they are HIS precious princesses.. chosen by Him. It was awesome. There is a swimming pool there and almost all of the girls went swimming for the first time. Hilarious. Imagine 20somthing year old woman hanging on to you and asking you to help them swim like you might have when you were five. It was awesome. Most of them also have never been to a resort/hotel, so it was a real treat to treat them. Thank you supporters for making that possible.
So other good news: I bought my plane ticket home yesterday.. not telling you when yet.. only a few secret people get to know. Got to leave you in suspense. And when I tell you the date I will tell you other suprises (know I don’t have a husband.. that’s what everyone thinks when I say that!)
ok.. just some other random thoughts:
There have been more cows on the road lately. Today this crazy bicylcing egg man (The back of His bike was full with dozens of eggs) almost ran into me 2 different times. Did He not see me walking? I mean really wouldn’t one think His eggs were more precious then that. In the midst of me doging the egg man, a tractor like thing (don’t really know what to call it) almost hit me because it was dodging a giant herd of cows in the road!
— Is it normal that I figured out to flush my toilet even though it’s broken by opening the back. using the bidet squirty thing beside the toilet to fill up the tank and then flush
— Is it normal that I am so used to us not having power and our refrigerator not being on that I forget to use the refridge and leave our food hanging out (which was ok in the winter.. not so much now!)
— Is it normal that I play electronic yatzee while I use the toilet
–Is it normal that I dream in another language sometimes
— Is it normal that it’s normal to me to wake up at 5:30 to dogs, chickens and the people next door washing their pots and pans right outside my window– no need for an alarm
Just checking in to see if I was normal?

It was so great to get to talk to you twice yesterday. We can’t wait until we get to talk to you face to face. What has become normal for you there is not exactly normal for the rest of us. You are awesome because no matter what you have had to deal with you have just laughed and gone on and most of the time made some spiritual application out of it. Somethings I am not sure even you could make something spiritual out of. We love you so much!!! We look forward to talking to you again soon hopefully.
First of all, I’m excited to be a secret person!!
Second of all, I totally bought that electronic Yahtzee game when I got back here b/c I totally bonded with yours after 3 days spent on your couch.
The two-ish nights I spent in your room I became familiar with your pot-washing neighbors and their pets, too.
I think it’s perfectly resourceful that you’ve figured out how to flush your toilet when it’s broken and I am very proud of you.
Lastly, I am jealous that you dream in another language. That’s a sign of fluency.
Love you bunches!
Is there anything really considered normal any more? I am thinking normal is all a state of mind anyway? Counting the days! Love you!
