elephant crossing

So I just saw an elephant crossing the road in the middle of a busy road in town. Keep in mind folks, although it may seem like it because of all the crazy things that are often in our road– we do not live in a junge. I live in a city.. a very polluted dirty city. Went out with a friend for breakfast today .. praise the lord first time I’ve been out of the house since Valentines Day. I have been recovering from the flu/bronchitis thing that I caught as my valentines gift from the khatry family upstairs. Still sound like I have smoked my whole life when I cough– although they say after living one year in kathmandu your lungs look just like you’ve smoked your whole life.. so there you go– but I feel WAY better. So I went out for breakfast with my friend Ashley. We had a great time. I did not want to be out long, because I want to be sure to take good care of myself so I get completely well.. so after breakfast we were walking down the road to the post office.. and there right in the middle of the busy street with cars and motorcycles was a HUGE elephant just sauntering, or maybe plodding around like He belonged in these streets. And on top of his back were two men. And they had lots of branches and sticks and stuff on top of them. It’s a weird world I live in folks. It’s a good thing I’m not normal either!

  1. Wow, Jenn, that IS crazy! Did you think you were delirious from the flu? I bet that sight brought on a big laugh accompanied by one of your famous snorts!

I’m glad you are feeling better, and I’m relieved to know that you are being careful not to over exert yourself. Now if you could just kick that nicotine addiction, things would be great! He, he, he.

    Praying for you,
    Sandra

  2. Hey my silly niece! An elephant, huh? Was it pink? How much cold medicine did you take anyway, honeybunches of oats!! Well, I love you anyway even if you do see strange things! I’m glad you’re feeling better. You sure have had your fair share of sickness since you’ve been over there! I’m going to see little Alex get dedicated this weekend. I’m looking forward to seeing everybody. Wish you could be there! I love you bunches, Aunt B
