Favorite Things Tuesday :-)

These are defionatly some of my favorite things. Coffee, creamer, my french press and my new fun tea pot that i got from leah for christmas

These are all the warm fuzzy pj’s (except for the leopard print ones) and my wonderful fuzzy pink robe that i wear all the time that my mom has sent me. They have made me feel so loved!

Aren’t my feet beautiful? these are my really warm rhangie changi (colorful) Tibetan warm socks, a must here in the winter.. and my slippers that i bought in europe.

This is my warm bed with the wonderful flannel warm sheets that sandra rose so wonderfully sent me to snuggle up in, the quilt a christmas gift from leah last yaer.. and leo the lion a really old friend

This is my comfy reading corner on our sofa. Love the warm blanket my mom bought me to remind me of home.

These are my cups. You might say wow she has alot of cups– does she really use them all. Yup. All of them have a story, all of them have a memory.. and I usually use about 6 or 7 different cups a day because I drink hot things all day in the winter and cannot drink coffee all day long so I drink various hot things, sometimes just hot water warms up the insides. And every morning I am in a different coffee cup kind of mood. There is nothing like thinking of the story with the cup as I pour– either a good friend sent it to me, some of them were much debated about weither they were purple or blue coffee cups given as a house warming gift when I first came to nepal by nathan and sarah, five of them are from each of the countries i visited in Europe.. all make me happy as I pour a cup of joe to meet with my savior every morning.

Now this is a good friend here… kenny the whistling kettle. He never lets me forget about him or where our relationship with eachother. If He feels forgotten about He makes sure to whistle. I use him all the time. He is very essential in the morning to help boil water for my french press which would not make coffee without him.. and luckily My friend Mr. French Press makes coffee without needed power.. glory. One of my favorite things is boiling the water for my coffee.. pouring half of it for coffee and then using the other half to wash my face or bath in. It’s really the only time I can stand to wash my hands because the water is hot. Awesome!

This is an awesome invention. This is my hot water kettle which boils water in about no time flat.. that is when we have electricity.. which is not very often. But I use it whenever we do

This is one of my FAVORITE things: I looks simple, but it makes a huge difference in my life. In fact we are sleeping together now, me and my hot water bottle. Put some hot water in this water bottle and He stays HOT for a long time!

Just wanted to show you a few of my Favorite things. I’m not being spiritual in any way– so of course my real favorite things are my Bible, My relationship with my Jesus ect.. nope.. these are just a few pictures of of a few of my favorite things that make my life in Nepal in the winter so much more cozy. I treasure these little gifts like I may not have had I not lived here. So I want to know what are a few of your favorite things and why?

  3. Jenn,

Thank you so much for sending photos of your favorite things. It comforts me to know that you have warm, comfy clothes, are able to make hot drinks and that you have a hot water bottle to snuggle up with at night. It’s 9 degrees here today, so I’m hoping Nepal isn’t getting the cold weather we’re having right now.

    Love you bunches,
    Sandra

  4. My favorite things…hmm. I defionatly have a collection of coffee cups too. One of my favs is a new mom one that aunt laura gave me when I had alex. sometimes I felt just like the frazzled mom on the picture, so it always comforts me to drink from that cup if I’d had a sleepless alex night…hey. I think I will do a favorite things post too, because it may be too long to put on a comment. check for one coming up!

  5. Jenn, I miss you sister. I know life is a tough journey right now for you overseas but I know that God is using it to refine you in character, ministry and mission. I am so proud of your integrity, honest, transparency and the love you have for those around you.
