magic in sweden
so guys.. i just love Jesus and how he loves on me.. umm.. how many times have I mentioned that on my magical honeymoon with him. Well honestly today was gorgeous.. spent the day wondering around the beautiful old city, part of stockholm sweden.. brrr.. it was cold. About four degrees. But it was such a fun day. Talk about cute coffee shops.. they are everywhere here. I loved it. But I am not going to lie.. I was thinking the one thing missing is snow.. i was thinking it would be soo cool if it snowed. I didnot pray about it or anything, just had that random thought. So we got a little confused as we were leaving the city this eveing to come back to our amazing hotel right by the airport (we rode about an 80 minute bus into town) . So we got confused on trying to find the terminal we were supposed to be at.. hehehe.. kept asking people that either did not speak english or had no idea. But we finally found teh terminal and the bus had just left, so we would have to wait about an hour and a half. truth is i was not thrilled about that because it had gotten really really cold, and it gets dark super early so i was tired. But ok.. what to do.. ke garne as we say in nepal. So leah and i went outside looking for a place to eat and guess what.. IT WAS SNOWING!! It was soo beautiful.. snowing in the city lights.. and leah and i were able to buy a hotdog at the hotdog stand and eat standing in the snowfall. It was the most beautiful thing. could God love on me anymore.. i love hotdogs and they do not have them in nepal.. and then the snowfall that was a desire of my heart.. it was beautiful.. by the tiem we got back to the hotel there was even enough snow on the ground to hear the snow crunch on my feet.. and for me to slip and fall in it! (no injuries donät worry) I am soo blessed to see Gods neat old blessings for his princesses.
So tommorow early morning we leave for two days in london.. we are staying with that couple that we met in nepal so please be praying that we can minister to them and show them jesus.. then four days from now back to nepal.. after that i promise to post tons of pictures no longer how long it takes
i love you and i love God
I’m taking a cultural anthropology class at Moody right now and the Prof lived in Nepal for a while. I hear the phrase “ke garne” frequently; it’s so interesting how even in that little phrase an entirely different world view is expressed in Nepal as compared to America. here the phrase would probably be “fix it”!
I’m so glad you’re having an amazing trip! Love you girl!
Jenn,
It sounds like you are living out one of your dreams! I miss you extra lately. Please know I have not forgotten about you! Thank you so much for keeping us posted through your blog! Love you lots! How great is our God!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Today in my quite time I read Duet. 28:2 The author went on to explain the verse when he said “When you walk closely with the Lord, blessings will come, regardless of whether you seek them. “
I thought this summed up your story perfectly.
Jenn,
Proverbs 3:6 says, “In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your path.” Even though you thought you were lost and couldn’t find the right terminal, your heavenly Father was leading you down a pathway He had arranged especially for you – a path that included a hot dog and some snow! Isn’t it awesome to see how God specifically tailors our blessings so that they include the things He knows we love the best! Makes you feel kinda special, doesn’t it?
You are so precious to Jesus and so precious to all of us who are rejoicing in His blessings on your life.
Love you bunches,
Sandra
