Happy Thanksgiving week!
This is my favorite picture taken from the train on our glorious train ride from Edinbourgh Scotland to loch ness.
That is the loch ness lake you can see through the bus window.. the other pictures did not show up because it was night when we saw the loch ness lake.. and we did see nessie. Unfortunatly that whole night thing.. didn’t show up on my camera.. :(you can believe that if you want to!)
We hiked up this famous hill to see the sunset over edinbourgh scotland.. amazing huh?
We hiked up to this “ruin” in edinbourgh.. gorgeous view to watch the sunset
This was in the room at the Edinbourgh castle right before you get to go see the AWESOME crown jewels of scotland. They were amazing. Crowns from the 1500’s.. it made me think about what in the world the crowns we get to lay down at the feet of Jesus must look like (the headphones are because we were doing an audio tour by the way!)

Hey… I wanted to try to post some more pictures of my Europe trip for you guys.. I promise that slowly but surely I will post as many as I can so that you can get a picture of the beautiful things that I got to see on my trip. But I wanted to be sure to wish you a VERY VERY happy thanmksgiving. You all are on the top of my Thanks list. I have soo much to be thankful for. I think that I could spend all day typing on and on for the list. But I want to just shout out a few
1) my supporters who allow me to be here. I mean I realize the economy is down and it means the world that you continue to trust God and support me!
2) my awesome awesome family. I cannot tell you guys how much you mean to me. Mommy and Daddy– you guys are the best. Thanks for always making me feel so loved, so supported, so special! I feel special to God because of how special you make me feel. I am soo glad that I got to see you guys in August (thanks to God for that!) and I love when i get to talk to you on skype. I love you guys soo much. Michelle.. you are the best friend and sister I could ever ask for. I am so thankful that God gave me somebody to share everything with (expect a husband of course!!) And little Alex… you are the greatest gift God has ever given me. i am soo in love with you. I know i don’t get to see you right now.. but I look at your pictures everyday.. I am crazy about you!!
3) I am thankful that my friend Mama Ellis got her good cancer free report from the doctor
4) i am thankful to all the prayers you throw up to God on my behalf, for your encouraging words, and packages
5) I am thankful that in Decemeber I will have lived in Nepal for 16 months.. wow. Glory What God has done in me, what I have seen him teach me.. how He has held me, loved me, sustained me, brought me joy, fought for me.. Words cannot express!
So most important of all. I am thankful that I am God’s daughter. That makes me a somebody… a somebody with a purpose. For that I am more then thankful!!
Ok.. on a lighter note.. I wanted to share with you a few phrases I have heard in the past couple of days involving our thanksgiving preparation that I think are hilarious and I am pretty sure that you don’t say this in America:
— When do we have power scheduled? This is the day when we need to have thanksgiving so that we can cook
— do you have the orange food coloring to die the sweet potatoes because they are whit
— Sure we can get the innerds out of the turkey. It may be gross but we saw and helped slaugher a pig in the village.. no problem!
— this is a very special turkey imported from australia.. therefore expensive
— couldn’t find the pecans so had to buy the packages of mixed nuts and pick the walnuts out for sweet potatoe casserole
— Hope the tire burning riot/strikes are over so we can get to the store
— are you cooking your pet chicken?
— can we cook your goat?
hehehe.. i thought you might get a kick out of these. I am super thankful for you guys. This thanksgiving I will be eating 3 dinners.. tommorow we as a team are eating which will be alot of fun.. Then friday our sunday night house fellowship of 20 somethings are coming to our house and we are having another thanksgiving and watching christmas movies, decorating for christmas, ect.. then on saturday I am going to a thanksgiving dinner with the International Mission Board. So I will get my fill… don’t worry. And this year we actualy have turkey– my friend bought a very expensive imported turkey. Poor guy he did not realize he was going to have to pay by the Kilogram.. expensive but we appreciate it.
Pray that the gas we cook on holds out
