fire or shower :-)

isn’t this beautiful

This is the crazy spot in the pasture where the totally random “castle” was.
Me and steph in front of the Trim castle ruins.. crazy old.. from the 1200’s.. wow.

Of course had to start off our day with a great cup of starbucks.. in a brand new starbucks.. great!
so I am not a photographer. but I was soo proud of this picture!

So guys. everywhere I go there has to be a hilarious adventure! Tonight I had told Stephanie that I would love to take a bath because this is not a commodity that we have in Nepal. So we started the hot water.. it got soo steamy that it ended up setting off the smoke alarm. This would not be such a big problem except that it set off the alarm in the WHOLE building.. and would not stop. Hilarious.. steph was on the phone with the company saying– umm. that building was not on fire.. just my friends steamy bath! 🙂 this frankly is not something that would happen in nepal. a) no hot shower.. therefore no steam b) no smoke alarm c) no fire truck or water to come the rescue!! I thought you guys might enjoy this

So today we had a glorious day driving through the MOST beautiful countryside (again amazing leaves.. isn’t God good) then we went to visit a very old castle ruins.. then hilarious we saw on the map about a castle so we drove forever looking for it.. kept wonderng why we were not finding it.. then realized that we had because it was this three story small castle ruin in the middle of this random cow pasture.. it was hilarous and made for a great time as we were looking for it!
Then we had a fabulous time tonight .. went over to a church member from Stephanie’s house and had a tradiational yummy irish meal of boiled cabbage, potatoes and ham.. yummy! It was a great time and a great day.

I have really enjoyed sharing with you my journey so far. Thanks for taking it with me. I just cannot get over how much God is spoiling me rotten!! I mean.. sure I have given up many things to serve him… but look how He is blessing me one hundred fold. I believe it is your prayers. I thank you for not being the type that thinks.. isn’t she suposed to be on the field suffering or something? Thanks for celebrating with me and joining with me in being excited for this great once in a lifetime gift God has given me!!
i’ll continue to keep you updated. Thursday morning we leave for malta.

love you guys
jenn

  3. Jenn,

I can just feel your joy as I’m reading the descriptions of your adventures with your earthly friends and your “Friend who sticks closer than a brother.” I find myself smiling the whole time I’m reading. For one thing – you are hysterical, and unbelievable things happen to you. For another thing – this trip is such a testimony of God’s goodness and mercy following you everywhere you go. He is truly lavishing His love on you. Enjoy every second of it, and take advantage of every opportunity to drink in His handiwork. (Is Starbucks His handiwork? I’m guessing your answer is a resounding, “YES!)

    Love you bunches,
    Sandra
