Divine appointments

I just love how cool God is.. the divine appointments He gives us during our days. Two days ago I went to the American Embassy to vote (I must say it is much easier to vote in another country.. no lines.. very simple.. and they have self flushing toilets and a drinkable water fountain at our embassy.. which is quite nice!) Then I went to meet leah at our friend Rebecca’s painting shop (she is a nepalee lady that comes to our church and my Bible study) When I got there I saw Leah talking with this couple. They kept on talking.. then I joined in talking with them. They are from London and we were telling them that we were going to London soon to stay for two days. They were offering us helpful hints and such, then they left. Great couple.. I really enjoyed them. Not 10 minutes later they came by and said Hey Why don’t you guys stay at our house when you come through. Just like that.. A Divine appointment. See I wanted to minister to them someway thinking that they are not believers. They wanted to minister to us. We invited them over for dinner. They came over last night and we had a particularlly LOVELY (said in my best Brittish Accent) time. They are such a nice couple. I cooked Chicken Cordon Bleu (I thought in my mind that would be a great thing to cook for British people and then I was told.. hmm.. Jenn that’s french.. oh well! Good try.. it tasted good any how). She kept referring to my food in her wonderful accent as Beautiful and Lovely.. well it just sounded so great the way she said it!

Anyways– we ended up hanging out until about 9:30. We are going to stay at their house for the two days we are in london and they were soo helpful. Divine appointment. Please pray we can minister to them the love of Christ– They don’t know him, may we show them who WE know!

So the story of the trip to Europe: We get a certain amount of vacation a year to use as m*issionar*es. The Christian hospitality network which sent me to phuket last year sent me another invitation.. the time to join them in Malta. So I asked if Leah could go. This is for three days. Well then the AWESOME couple wendall and Donna that I met last year in Phuket asked if we would come 3 days early and spend time with them in malta, their treat. Of COURSE! How great the lavish love of the lord is. Well then we decided we were going to be that close to europe that we should just go visit our closest friend that we went through canidate class in ABWE together who is in Ireland. So we are leaving October 30 to visit her for a week and join her in her ministry. Please pray for us as we minister there with our friend Stephanie. From there we will go to malta. Then.. we found these amazing cheap 10 dollar tickets to all these places on this one day only online deal with an airline in Europe. So God continued to pour out the blessings. So from malta we will go to Scotland, stay there 4 days i think, then from scotland to sweden for 2 days, then back to london from the 2 days. It’s amazing. I cannot believe it. And the awesome thing is most of this trip is paid for by the kindness of peoople opening their homes and their hearts. Glory. The goodness of our God.

So we leave next thursday October 30.. please be in prayer for our trip.. that God will use us as we minister to a very different people group, the europeans!

Wow, what an awesome outpouring of God’s blessings! You have become quite the world-traveler. I’ll start praying now about your trips, but please keep us up-to-date on where you are because right now I’m a little lost. Two days here, four days there. You are way too much of a jet-setter for me to keep track of your whereabouts!

    Love you bunches,
