Me and the Bible college girls playing a game at the retreat. They were soo cute!

Tea time at the resort.. beautiful place huh!

This is our whole group at the reteat!
Hey guys. I am praying that you guys are having a fabulous october… well I guess it is almost over. I hope that you are enjoying fall for me because I really miss it.. although hey I get the blessings of right being able to see the himilayan mountains outside of my kitchen window.
I thought you might like to see a few pictures of the retreat. It was such a great time. Thanks so much for praying for us. The Bible college girls had never done anything like this, and many said that it was the highlight of their time in college. We had a blast. They were soo cute. Most of them had never eaten at a restaurant let alone stay at a hotel, so you can imagine how happy they were. We had a great time. We played games, had worship and they spent several sessions in quiet times with the lord following the guidelines that I had given them. It was soo neat to watch them share in their small group time at the end how their times with Jesus had changed them. It was also neat to watch the tears stream down their faces as they talked about their encounters with the king. I know they felt loved by Him as they got to the resort!! The first session I gave them the assignment to be with the lord without talking to other friends.. I was down in an area having my own chats with the lord and was so blessed as I heard the ladies walk by. In nepalee they would be praying fevently outloud.. or I heard a few of them singing praises. It just blessed my soul! So thanks for praying.. we really did have a great time.
Today I was reading in Colossians how we have been RESCUED out the kingdom of dakness into the kingdom of LIGHT. (thanks michelle) I am really meditating not this right now because right now is TIHAR the Hindu festival of lights in nepal. It actually is realy pretty because they put up christmas lights everywhere and light candles all over the outside of their houses at night. It is pretty but very sad. The people think by lighting these candles they can get the attention of their gods. I am soo blessed to know that not only do we not need to get the attention of God with candles.. HE is the LIGHT of the world.. why don’t you praise HIM.
So we are leaving tommorow.. CRAZY!! pray for our journey. I know it’s hard to keep up with us. So let me tell you this first detail and you can keep me up week by week.. tommorow I am leaving for Ireland.. will be there six days working with a mission*ary friend of mine.
I love you guys
jenn
