village ladies conference update and more
Sorry guys.. I promised you that I would write more following the pictures.. it’s taken me a while because we are back to no power really in nepal. It’s even more mandatory power outage hours then before.. not sure why.. but ke garne (what to do in nepalee).
I have to thank you so much for your prayers for our trip to the village. It was such an incredible time for me. Hehhee.. I knew that I was defionatly back in nepal that first night we stayed in a hotel and i woke up literaly covered in a mixture of sweat and the ants that were sharing the bed with me!
The village we stayed in was incredible.. beautiful land and beuatiful people. We stayed with a pastor and his family. What a testimony he has. 35 years ago he came to Christ when there were only about 300 believers in the whole country, half of those being foreign m*s*ssionaries.. He has now been apart of planting so many churches in the very western most part of nepal, which is a very unreached remote area.
To this conference about 450-500 woman came.. hungry to hear the word of God. Most of them were believers that were just desperate to fellowship with other woman and grow in their faith. I havce never seen anything like it. It was in the 100’s every day and with all the ladies packed into a small building, yet we would ask them if they would like a break and they would sit right there and want to keep on singing and praising jesus. Humbling huh? I feel in love with these ladies and their lvoe for the Lord. I love how the power of the Holy spirit would fall on me as I would begin to speak, because it was very hard conditions.. very very hot and i sweated more then I have ever sweat, but the power of the Holy spirit and the strength he gave me was amazing. And the Joy… what Joy as I saw tears stream down their faces, or as I laughed with them, danced with them, were dressed up by them! I loved it. Thank you for your prayers. Those ladies are already begging for us to come back. They had to turn so many woman away also due to lack of space. To hear those ladies worship God together was AMAZING!!! I got to share the gospel in my first session, speak on freedom in Christ in the next, speak on spiritual disciples and then in one session speak on how we are all priests of God!
Please pray for the ladies in that village, and for the pastor and His family that are being so used by God. It’s crazy because God’s timinig.. 2 days after we left I just found out the worst flooding they have seen in a long time hit the exact area where we were going to be. Please pray for them during this time. .. they said more then 50 thousand people are waiting to be rescued. Imagine if that had happened just 2 days earlier.
I am also asking you to pray for my precious friend Maya right now. She is the lady that works for us everyday in our house…. she has been such a blessing to us and is not just employed by us she is like family and has become one of my closest nepalee friends. We recieved a phone call today that her father had passed away very suddenly. He was not sick so we think maybe a heart attack. We immediatly went to see her and hug her, held her, got to pray for her.. it was heartbreaking because she is the only christian in her immediate family and knows that she will not be reunited with her father again. She has grown so much in her faith since working for us.. from a baby to a grown up christian.. please pray for her and her family during this time. She left for her village today… and we are praying about going to meet up wtih her this weekend.. .it’s about a 6 hour bus ride away so pray for our wisdom in this. Watching her grieve today broke my heart.
Other then that.. things are good. Settling back into life here.. feeling God be soo close to me. He is good.. ALL the time!
I was so sad that I was not here Fri. when Daddy got to talk to you. I am thankful that you got back safe from the village and that the confrence went so well.
