MaHIMA
I have spent the morning shouting mahima mahima mahima. Why. Because my dear friend and other Mama Madeline Ellis just got a report from the doc that there is NO tumor. Even if you don’t know here.. please have a praise dance with me. MAma I am not a big cryer but I sobbed with JOY when I read that message.. that made my day, my week.. my year. I am celebrating with you guys and doing a happy dance. And I ran up and told everyone in my building.. I am soo excited.
So I am so sorry I have not posted. They have this new idea in nepal that really electricity is not really a necessary thing. They are soo nice to give us a schedule of power outages for each day– but really there is so much of no power they should instead give us a report of when we will actually have power! so I apologize for the lack of updates.. I had to send out my monthly prayer letter this month so I have been busy using power hours doing that.. by the way if you do not get my monthly newsletters please e-mail me at [email protected] and let me know and I would love to send them to you!
Things here are going incredible. I cannot describe the peace and the joy God has given me in being back here. Settling back into normal life.. well umm.. there is no such thing as normal here I can assure you! I have been soo blessed to relalize the relationhips that I built in the year while I was here after coming back. See there is very low turnover in Nepal as far as employee.. so you really get to know them. Everytime I havce gone back to a restraunt or a store it has thrilled my heart when the employees have said oh we missed you so much, how’s your sisters baby, can we see pictures ect. It just made me realize what an impact you can have in just being friendly. They oohed and awed over the baby pictures like He belonged to them. That’s just how nepalees are (and well he is the cutest baby that has ever been born.. for new pics of him check out www.gingerbreadfam.blogspot.com ) . I love that I go to a place and they laughingly say do you want your usual (which at one place is a mixed icecream cone.. the only place you can get one in nepal!) I have so much that I want to share with you about the goodness of our God. I just finished (finally) what is supposed to be a nine week study on Believing God by Beth Moore . I have frankly slowly been doing it since march. But I have learned so much about Believing God. Not just Believing in God (all of us as Christians do that) but believing God to be Who HE says He is and that He can do what He says (like heal mama ellis.. glory)
So I have so much to say but unfortunatly no time to say it. My whole team and I are packed up and leaving in five minutes to go to Bangladesh for 10 days. I am excited. I have never been there.. and we will join the rest of our co-workers in this region for 10 days of training. Please pray for our travel. I am really excitd to go. speaking of.. they are honkin the horn for me. When I get back I will do better I promise!
i love you guys
did i mention that
