a glorious SWEATY amazing week
The ladies playing dress up with me. I didn’t know what aws going on. Before I knew it there were about 30 woman around me dressing me in their tribal wear. It was hilarious. There were many many tribalre.. the kind like you would see in a brochure for m*ss*ionaries 🙂 me and leah and our nepalee partner that was our translator… helper.. everything after our first day of speaking. I think we look pretty good for sweating more then I have ever sweated in my life… 104ish degrees outside, 500 ish woman in one small building with no fans going.. whew.. i’m telling you what. The power of the Holy spirit kept us going
me and leah with the lady who took such great care of us. She reminded me of lydia from the bible
so this is their version of a port-o-poddy 🙂
Me and one of my favorite ladies of the conference. She was from a fisherman tribe and has no family alive anymoer. In this picture she was laughing at me as I was trying to squat like her.. I didn’t realize about 100 woman had gathered around to laugh.. I got tickled.. and well you can imagine it was quite the scene
The ladies praising God.. what a powerful thing.. in their own tribe and tounge language.. so brought the bible to life for me .. they were not bothered by the 100 degree heat.. by how packed together they were.. by how they were all having to sit on the floor.. they just wanted to feast on God’s word. Wow!
This is a group shout– doesn’t come even close to showing all the ladies that came
Can you tell how huge this airport is.. this is the arrival gate 🙂
me and nista (our nepalee leader) and leah dressed in our saris … sweaty and ready to go for our first day
Jenn,
I’m so thankful that you are back in Nepal and that the conference went so well. If you were checking the hits on your website, you would have about a begillion from me. I’ve been checking it constantly to see if you had arrived back home. Thank God for His faithfulness and for the outpouring of His Spirit on the ladies at the conference. I can’t wait to hear more.
I love the pictures. Is that first one the Nepali version of putting a lampshade on your head? You still look beautiful even though you were hot and sweaty.
Love you bunches,
Sandra
Jenn, that’s just so incredible! I wish I could have been there with you! I love and miss you tons. It would be great to have a skype date with you soon. 🙂
Forget the rest of what we need…i’m just coming now!!!
Love it, Jenn. My heart is there with you, and I am thankful that you are working there, and that I am able to see Nepal even when I am thousands of miles away.
