out of the miry (how do you spell that?) clay and more

Hello guys. Tapilaie kasto cha? How are you? Aja malaie deri rhomro cha. Today I am doing very well (this is your nepalee lesson for the day)

I hope that you guys had a fabulous week. I frankly caught the stomache flu from down under again. not sure what happened.. if the germs just stayed in the air or what.. but I started to get sick again on tuesday morning…. made it through most of the day fine on tuesday ( you get used to having diarhea around here/talking about it at the dinner table ect.) even went to my friends house on Tuesday night and was ok… but as soon as I made it home wak wak lagyo (isn’t that a fun word.. it menas throw up came!) I threw up all night and the next day was sooo yucky I told leah i was ready to go to the hospital clinic to get some medicine ( and for those of you that know me know that I must have been bad because I don’t go to the doc unless desperate measures) so leah graciously helped me get in the car (pooh sample and all) and we went to the hospital clinic.. guess what. There is a strike that day and every clinic, pharamcy, everything that would have medicine or a doc to look at my pooh was on strike….. of course 🙂 So ke garne? (what to do) I came home and got back in bed and spent the day in bed drinking nasty rehydration drink (it’s famous here in nepal.. they don’t have gatordade.. so you put this package of stuff in water and drink it. imagine drinking salt.. that’s what it tastes like). The up side– as I was laying in bed I watched ever all 4 hours of anne of green gables and ann of avanolea.. it was nice. And other good news.. it must be a 24 hour virus thing because i woke up this morning feeling much better.. was able to go out adn teach my class.. glory

ok… so about the title out of the mirey clay. I mean to post this the other day. The other day i was walking down our road.. in monsoon I wish I could accurately describe to you the condition of our road.. mud like crazy.. holes you could lose a whole family in. An obstacle course like you would not imagine.. so ususally i take it in stride.. but the other morning I got stuck in it.. literally stuck up to my ankles in such thick mud I could not move. not only move.. but all the nepalees were laughing at me (and now I can laugh.. i think it’s frankly hilarous) and I could not move one inch. It was pitiful. Then I tried to get in a taxi and they would not let me because my feet were so covered in mud. So frankly that particular morning I was not in the best mood. I was not happy about the miry clay that I had gotten stuck in.. in fact hehehe.. if i ever was a cussin woman i probally would have cussed at that moment.. (don’t worry i didn’t). I got to the internet cafe where i was going to check my e-mails because our internet was down and i got the sweetest e-card of love from my dad. It changed my whole mood.. my whole outlook. And I started thinking– Wow.. my heavenly daddy has taken me out of some miry clay– all of us right! And then if we are willing to “open” his card of love from the Bible it can change the outlook of our whole day. Just a thought.

so tommorow leah and i decided we are getting out of town. We are tired of being in this sick house with all our sick germs. Both of us have been sick on and off for the past two weeks… we need some fresh air and some r and r … so we are leaving tommorow to go to a nearby “resort” with a swimming pool, fresh air, and no sickrooms. Please pray that God will refresh us as we go!! o( oh yeah and hannah is going with us to so pray for her to) I can’t wait to tell you how God loves on us as we get away.
