elephant safari and more

Hey guys. I am sorry for the lack of postings lately. our internet was not working and then I went out of town for the weekend, and well I am just sorry so please forgive me all of my faithful readers. I am so thankful for you by the way. Did I mention that.
So.. where to start. You know how awesome our God is.. He is always finding ways to remind me of His intense love for me.. usually through you guys.. my body of Christ and the way you love on me by sending a card, a package, an e-mail, a blog comment. I truly believe God loves to pour out his love on us. HE reminded me of that this weekend. I met this incredible couple, Donna and Wendall Nelson when I went on the m retreat in phuket thailand in october of last year. He came as the chiropractor to give all of us “m”s and adjustment. I just fell in love with this couple. They were so kind to me and we had a great time together that four days– then they treated me to an oppertunity to go snorkeling with them in thailand. Well they came to nepal on Wednesday simply to visit me and encourage me. How incredible is that. And boy havce they. God truly sent his love in people bodies for me this week. April was probablly one of the most emotionally and spiritually wearying months I have ever had if you want me to really be honest, so it was perfect timing for them to come and love on Leah and I. We have laughed together, cried together and they have listening to us share our stories, our lives our hearts. That is the biggest blessing. Sometimes you just need someone to process the craziness called life here with. They have treated us to so many restraunts and treated us to go to the mountains and then to Chitwan which is the jungle in nepal. Everytime I started to feel guilty for being so loved on by these virtually perfect strangers who now feel just like family– God reminded me that He pours out His unconditional love on us everyday and he wanted me to be reminded of that through people. So let me tell you about chitwan.. the jungle of nepal! Who knew nepal had a jungle.. but it does. It was so weird because it looked like africa. But we had a ball. I don’t think I have laughed as hard as I did in a long time while we were at the elephant breeding place and leah and i were trying to get a picture with an elephant and the thing kept wacking me with its nose and almost laughing. It spread it’s muddy nose all over me. And I was laughing so hard all the other people thought I was an a part of the “zoo” because well you know how I laugh. I will include some pictures of that in another post when I get the pictures from my friends camera. And then we rode through the jungle on an elephant.. now I tell you an elephant is not the most comfortable thing to ride.. but I loved it!! the four of us were in this box on the back of the elephant, and then the guy says, moti passanger, and then in effect move from that little box to the actual front of the elephant (elephant bare back riding) … he was in a sense saying to me, your the biggest passenger, so I need you to get on the back of the elephant. I was thinking, your crazy, you want me to contort my body and move from this little box to the back on an elephant while it is moving. Well yup.. so I did and it was so much fun. I rode bare back on the elephant and my legs were right by his big old floppy ears. We saw some rhino, dear and some really cool birds
so I just wanted to tell you about my safari on the back of an elephant.
On our elephant, we had to trust our nepalee guide. We had no idea where we were going. We just rode on the elephant and plodded our way through the jungle (we especially had to trust our guide when the elephant went a little crazy and well ran when it saw it’s lover) You know what. I am so glad that on the safari called life I can also trust my guide.. God…. even when I don’t know the path in the jungle, when we are going through an area that looks non traveled and the leaves are slapping me in the face… even when things get a little crazy and we start to run, I can trust my guide!
So … i have idea which country I will be living in two weeks.. but I am going to trust my guide.. that he knows the right path.. the best way to give me an adventure, yet to see his glory the most (like the guide would sometimes take us down an unbeaten path to show us the neatest animals) the doors keep closing on our visas. We are doing everything we can but then the rest with have to leave to our guide God. I have peace on this crazy adventure and I apperciate your prayers. Keep praying!
