Passport auyo Mahima (the passport has come..) GLORY

MAHIMA! Mero Passport Auyo Malaie deri cusi lagyo (I am very happy because my passport came and I can get it tommorow!)

Thanks to all my prayer warriors so much. This does not mean yet to stop praying though.. still trying to get a new visa in the midst of a new government taking over that does not like americans or christians.. but Hey the first obstacle has been surmounted. Also please pray that the office of immigration is kind to me whn I speak my best nepalee to them, bat my blue eyes and try to convince them to not make me pay a huge fine because my tourist visa will have been expired for almost a month now. (fine or tourist jail.. neither which I’m up for right now!)

I tell you what I cannot get anything done with this writing because my two best nepalee friends maya and sita (the girl I disciple) and another girl that I met walking one day and started coming to my Bible study and is now meeting with Leah for discipleship everyday are all in my living room and laughing their heads off like little girls and I cannot quit laughing. it’s one of those moments when I am just reminded what a blessed mancha (person) that I am! 🙂

Can I just say thanks for all the people who wrote such nice comments on my last blog post. But I do want to make sure that you know that I was not planning on not posting and I don’t want you to feel like you have to post everytime.. I was just curious who was reading my blog that I did not know about. so thanks guys.. no worries.. I like writing to much to stop!

So I had a great weekend. Saturday was such a blessing at church. God gave me the blessing of understanding all the sermon on Saturday which was all in nepalee and was such a blessing to me. USally I love the fellowship at church but I don’t get anythign out of the sermons because your brain goes into overload.. but I actually understood. Glory. Saturday night we had all the peoples that live in our house over (we live on the bottom floor a bnch of people live on the rest so it was a fun time!)

Then Sunday I decided I needed me a Sabbath day with Jesus. That’s hard to do here when you have no line between work, play and life.. it’s all one big blur.. which is great at times, but does allow for not taking many sabbath times. So I hopped on my scooty and off I went to a garden that I had heard about. IT was beauitiful. I just had to pay a few rupees to spend the day on a beatiful garden date with Jesus! I guess I appreciate all things green so much more now after living in dirty polluted kathmandu. It was like being transported away for a while. And boy did the Lord love on me on our date. I am studying Isiah 43 right now.. what a powerful passage. And let me tell you God gave me such a powerful word when he reminded me that teh the book of Isaiah is so much like living in nepal with all the idols and that I do not need to bring God down to be a simple idol.. but he is a great BIG God!

Driving on scooty for my date with Jesus was quite an experience. It was the fartherest I have driven so far.. and you who know Jenn who is such a cautious non agressive driver would just die to see how me and scooty perform. Wow. I tell you what. I had to bypass at least 5 cows yesterday on major roads mind you..and imagine how things go when there are only 3 red lights in nepal and they have no power to light them.. and note to you if you drive a scooter.. it’s important to avoid the big piles of manure. Yesterday I accidently drove through one.. it was a big stinky mess.. flying poop does not smell good.. neither does it look good. Luckily it was day five.. time to take a shower (we take one ever five days usually.. us “m” types are gross huh!) unfortunatly in the midst of my shower we ran out of water AGAIN. ke garne (what to do)

  1. i can see it now. you charging through flying poop…heheh. you are hilarious. I am so praising the Lord you got your passport. I knew you would! I so loved talking to you the other day. Thank you so much for calling me, it made my day! I love you

  2. Jenn,

I love the picture you posted. You look like Kate Winslet with her arms outstretched standing on the front of the Titanic. All you needed was Leonardo DiCaprio behind you saying, “I’m the king of the world!” Or better yet, “Jesus is the King of the World!” I’m thrilled that you have your new passport, and we’ll keep praying about you getting a visa (without a fine and definitely without spending time in tourist jail!)

I’m so glad you had a good weekend and a great date with Jesus.

    Love you bunches,
    Sandra

  3. I love your picture. Looks like it could be published in something. Where were you? Your sabbath with Jesus in the garden sounded wonderful! I’ll bet that is something after the pollution and dirt in Kathmandu. You be careful on that “scooty”! Ewwww…riding through pooh. I’ve done that on the Mule–not so fun. I just don’t know if your Aunt Brenda could handle the baths only every 5 days. Wow! But you’re a brave and courageous girl and have endured lots more than most people could! God loves you Jenn–He definitly knew who to send to Napal! Love you, Aunt Brenda

  4. Thank the good Lord your passport came.

btw…your blue eyes won’t help if you smell like poopy!
    love ya’

  5. Jenn,

I’m going to save that picture of you! It rocks! I’m glad God provided your passport! Whew! Will keep praying! I’m thrilled you are being given the gift of laughter. I always thought you would be bailing mom and I out of jail, I don’t think we can come nepal to bail you out lol.
Your “date” sounds wonderful! You are inspiring me more than you know, I am so blessed by your friendship. Thanks for the e-mail! I was so excited! Could you please post and tell when monsoon season begins?
I am not at all shocked by your cow poo story, that even beats our Nashville story. lol. I’ll be in touch.

  6. You’re so beautiful! And you look hot in that shirt! 🙂 I love you so much. It was so great to get to chat with you for a while today. I set an alarm on my phone to pray for you Tues. night. I can’t wait to see how our faithful God answers!
