Frogger
Do you guys remember way back in the day the video game called frogger. I mean really often that’s what I feel like when I am driving my scooter around. A mix between frogger and mario cart. It’s really quite an experience.
I am in the midst of baking a giant chocholate cake with my friend Ashley for a girls birthday party tonight ( keep in mind how things go in nepal.. I have only met the girl once) A homemade chocholate cake.. hmm.. smells yummy. So I thought I would write a blog real quick.
So yesterday I walked a pretty good ways through town from the immigration office to my house which means nothing to you but oh well with my Jesus. We were walking together with me having my music on my i-pod and I was having a grand time with Jesus. People kept trying to interpt our time.. but I was not having it.. first there was the taxi drivers that keep honking and pulling over thinking that as a white girl I can’t possibly walk. I mean really didn’t they see I was walking with my love.. Jesus. And then I think I scared the man walking beside me when I could not help but raise my hand as I was listening to a little Chris Thomlin Amazing grace.. how sweet the sound. The guy just didn’t know I was walking with my Jesus. Then it was a bit distracting when I had to cross the bridge and let me tell you something had died and stayed there in that river water.. STINKY! I was reminded how stinky our sins are as I walked with Jesus over that stinky bridge.! Then came the cloud of diseal fuel from the buses… then the bus splashing water on me.. but regardless I had me a good old walk with Jesus! Don’t you love that our Jesus takes the time to walk with us and talk with us!
Ok I need my prayer warriors to kick into serious gear abour our visa sitation. It’s so complicated to write here and try to explain but the basic is we are only allowed 5 months a year period on tourist visa in nepal then you have to get another visa. Last yaer was fine because I was only here five months. My five months are almost up… June is the deadline. We have been working on trying to get an NGO visa for our orphanage and our Bible college. The problem is we have to turn these visas in as a group.. and the governement has to approve. (keep in mind the political situation here right now) And keep in mind that my passport was stolen and has not come in yet because of elections the offices have been closed and it was hard to get a police report.. so no passport right now and my nepalee visa has been expired 3 weeks now since I cold not renew it this month due to the passport thing (sorry are you confused yet?) all this to say something must happen soon. If I do not have this visa by May 6th then I must purchase an exit ticket out of the country to get my June visa and then in June leave the country and be unable to come back until January of next year. Pretty big sitation huh? I have been studying about faith and I know God just wants to stretch it and let me have the oppertunity to see him BE BIG! So I am going to trust but please pray. I need my passport ASAP and I need the government to approve our new visa requests! Thank you so much! I am so glad to know that my God is in control!
Oh yeah– I am curious who actual reads this beside the 3 people that always comments. If you read it can you just leave a little comment this time. I’m just curious! 🙂
ok.. going to go check on my cake now! yummmm
Jennifer,
We are all going to pray huge! Thanks for telling us! I’ll tell everyboody! Hey you must be older than I thought, I don’t remember Frogger? Your walk with Jesus is just what I needed to be reminded of at this very moment! You need to import your blog on to your facebook, so your facebooks have access to it do you know how?
I know you are probably stressed to the max right now, and maybe a little discouraged, but we have seen, God do mighty things haven’t we! Gal 6:9, Luke 1:37 I love you!
Oh I’m happy I was the first to post! I know Katybug reads your post she’s too chicken to comment! Mama Ellis reads, but her life is completly crazy right now. Kim reads too, and people ask about you at Brainerd Hills!
I LOOK EVERY DAY TO SEE IF YOU HAVE POSTED ANYTHING NEW! PLEASE KEEP POSTING! I HAVE BEEN VERY VERY VERY BUSY WITH 5 WEEKS OF SCHOOL LEFT, THE PROM, CHURCH, HOME, AND ECT! I WANT YOU TO KNOW THAT I MAY NOT ALWAYS COMMENT, BUT I DO PRAY DAILY FOR YOU! I WILL BE PRAYING EXTRA HARD FOR YOUR PASSPORT AND VISA. KEEP POSTING,,,,,,,,MOMMA ELLIS
Jenn,
Please, please, please don’t stop posting. I check your website several times a day to see if you have posted a new entry. That’s the way I feel connected to you. I’ve been very busy at work and in a lot of pain, so taking time to respond to you has been a little difficult.
I pray for you faithfully every morning during my talks with Jesus and also every time He brings you to my mind (which is very frequently.) I’m always glad to know what your specific requests are because then we can all agree in prayer regarding that particular situation.
I can’t sit here any longer due to my pain, but please know that we are reading, and we are praying.
Love you bunches,
Sandra
You know that your Mother always read anything that you write. I look first thing in the morning, last thing at night, and all in between to see if you have written anything. Your walk with Jesus sounded so exciting. Everybody is praying very hard about your passport and visa situation. Is it safe for you to be our and about without having a passport? Someone ask me if it was safe for you without it and if you were staying at the embassy. Please keep us and everybody updated on if you get your passport and what it means if you don’t. We love you very much!!!
I regularly blog-stalk you. I check for updates most days of the week so that I can remember to pray for you! I LOVE it – even your written words are a blessing!
Jenn,
I have enjoyed reading your blogging. We, of course, pray for Leah and all her teammates daily, and throughout each day. We are very thankful for all of you. As there is alot of uncertainty right now, we are thankful that our Father all ready knows what He is doing and what His plan is for you! Ya’ll keep up the good work. You make it sound like so much fun. And, of course, it is so much fun to do exactly what our Father designed us to do. Tell Leah hello and give her a BIG HUG from her family. There are 5 of us in her immediate family. Both of you keep that sense of humor. Laughter doeth good like a medicine. 🙂 🙂 🙂
I am glad to get to know you through your blogs. Leah told me I would love you. Let’s plan to get together during the 1000 year reign. I’m sure it will be FUN.
Now I’m the wordy one, but we girls do need to get all of our thousands of words in each day.
I am confident that He that hath begun a good work in you will continue it.
Until later,
Mom Weldon
Sarah and I try our best to keep up with you blog. Sorry to hear about the visa troubles but know that God always works His will. I sure hope the NGO visas come thru…Sarah and I could use them later.
Pray hard…we are having trouble getting plane tickets for our group.
Look forward to seeing you soon.
Jenn, I read your blog every day! I wrote an email a few weeks back to update you on the Limburg family. Let me know if you got it! I can picture you walking along and riding your Purple Pleasure! Do those people there know how blessed they are to have you? I miss your laugh – I’m praying! God has a plan (Jeremiah 29:11). Much love, Mitzi
I read it! I read it! I’ve been praying for your visa stuff and I’ll keep it up.
Love you!
Hey Sweet Neicey-Poo,
I’ve been reading your blog. Guess what, I remember Frogger, but then I’m old as dirt ya’ know. I’ll pray for your visa and passport situation! I had fun with your Mama, Michelle & Aunt Laura last weekend. Spent the day today with Jeanan & Marietta out in the sunshine eating lunch at the park and then sitting outside at their house afterwards. Laura and I took Grandaddy to the Dr. Tuesday. He’s pulled a muscle-not feeling so well. I love you very much and miss you. Glad you got to have your walk with Jesus and didn’t let anyone interfere. Love you, Aunt Brenda
I remember visa issues…none quite like that, but I remember the stress and anxiety I (unnecessarily) carried with me. I think of Nepal almost daily, and I love feeling connected just a little bit via your blog. 🙂 Walk on, sister. …Amy
I wanted to tell you that I do read your blog, but I have never left a comment. Sorry. It is awesome to read how God is working in all that you do! I am sorry to hear about the visa situtation. We will be praying that it all comes through in time.
Frogger…I loved Frogger, but actually being the frog is a little scary!
Take Care,
Kim Baucom
